Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. UPDATE: This could be a blue star hardtop. The photo was on eBay.
The jeep is small in the photo, but I thought the hard top looked interesting. The rear window has an angle in back and it looks like the front door has a very small window. This is a reprinted photo.

Vincent spotted this stock CJ-5. It has good restoration potential.
“For sale 1963 cj 5 2 owner jeep. This Jeep has a factory hardtop with the full size doors, so the windows are much bigger and also roll all the way up and down. The body is very straight, only two small rust spots on the tailgate. Just put new fuel tank and sending unit. Also put new fuel pump tuneup and carburetor rebuild. Runs and drives very well. Very rare find!! 4 cylinder 3speed transmission.”

At first I thought someone hacked the entrance areas on the passenger and driver’s side. But, after looking more closely, it looks like it was done by design.
