About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

“1947 Willys Jeep Cj2a Restored to military look. Canvas is good. 3 speed transmission 4 cyl engine 6Volt system Still needs some work on parts bilut is a very good jeep.”
A little nitpicky item. The seller notes the tranny was rebuilt, but shows a pic of the transfercase. The drain hole appears filled.
“Jeep for sale. 1947 Willys Jeep CJ2A for sale. $8500. Runs great. Fun to drive. Original Go Devil engine. 134cc, 60 HP. This one has overdrive too. Electrical was updated to 12 volt, new alternator, new hoses, new belt, new battery, new thermostat and coolant replaced. 4 wheel drive works, overdrive works, emergency brake does not work. All the electrical works, like headlights, taillights, lighter, etc. Transmission rebuilt a few years back, looks good as you can see in the picture”

Up for sale is a 1947 Willys CJ2A serial #116959 that is finished as an MB style WWII Army military Jeep. The accessories that are shown in the photos are also included, which include fire extinguisher, shovel, helmet, 1945 trench shovel, replica grenade crate, three military bags, pistol belt and canteen, bridge plate (removable), jerry gas can, door safety straps, and soft canvas top.
This jeep is ready to be driven and can be enjoyed today. It is great in Parades, errands, and road trips. I use it currently for trips to the hardware store and Walmart. You get lots of looks and high fives. This is a Fun jeep! This is NOT a frame-off restoration. I take good sound jeeps, fix and upgrade where it needs it, and finish them to military. “1946 Willy’s Jeep CJ2A runs and drives GREAT! Has had some body work done so yes it has some body filler but looks nice. Has one spot that needs fixed (pictured). Bought it from a retired vet. Pretty neat old vehicle that isn’t perfect but is way fun!! Only thing that doesn’t work that I’m aware of it the windshield wiper. Engine purrs like a kitten! Located in Dalton, Ohio May trade for other Jeeps or Steiner/Ventrac tractors.”
“Going through a divorce and selling my Willys MB Tribute jeep. Motivated seller. Make me an offer. She comes fully loaded with all accessories pictured.
She runs good. New exhaust, rebuilt carburetor, new spark plugs. All work done by a local Jeep/off-road shop. 1945 MB frame. CJ-2A tub. I swapped out the CJ grill for an Omix MB grill. Brakes and tires good. New horn!
She has been great for parades and spins around town. My first cosmetic restoration, so she’s not perfect, but looks the part. The brake pedal Burns oil and leaks fluid like any old Jeep should. Kentucky title. Text preferred.”
(11/05/2018) Seller believes this to have been manufactured in November of 1945 (but sold in ’46), but I have not run across any evidence of this. It’s a serial number 23785. It has a replacement body.
“1945 CJ2 (research shows it was manufactured in Nov-1945. Technically it is a 1946 but registered and titled as a 1945 4WD, 3spd manual, has 130cc Ford 4-cyl., Navy grey paint, Warn hubs, odometer reflects only miles put on it when it was restored (30years ago). Custom canvas top with matching canvas on seats. This is not mine, belongs to my neighbor…84 year old retired naval fighter pilot. He stated frame, drivetrain, engine, hood, grill and fenders are original but the body is a reproduction, original was rusted badly. He drives it around neighborhood and gets his mail in every so often. Serious inquiries only. I will try to answer basic questions but can put you in touch with direct if needed.”
