About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“1948 Willys CJ-2A with a 1944 MBs body retrofit but with vintage parts such as grill, glovebox, lights, wind shield, seats, etc.
Very close as a complete MB clone. Has new top, straps, and seats. Many parts have been replaced including wiring and alternator to a 12v system, cables, gauges, shocks, and muffler. Includes tow bar. Engine runs fine with good compression psi: 135,120, 125, 130. Transmission has a new clutch.
I recently bought this Jeep from my uncle with title and Collector plate. He used in mostly to ride in
parades and show it at car shows with a military auto club. It has now been completely mechanically inspected and is in the process of professional auto work and I decided to start a restoration at my home under cover. Car is available to see while work is being completed.
Vin plate is missing so I have a special appointment set up with the State Patrol to have a reassigned vin number added to car frame and body. I will support with attendance if you want to conduct the inspection with State Patrol.
Car need three tires (one tire is new).
Several thousand dollars spend recently on new parts:
Replacing all new brakes lines and master cylinder, (new wheel cylinders are in place now)
Replacing front hub seals and all axles seals,
Replacing new emergency brake pads and rotational seals transfer case seals,
Replacing clutch and brake pedals and clutch and brake rotational shafts and brake arm.
Fuel line is new and replacing fuel gauge.
Replacing front axle bearings.
Replacing steering shaft and sleeve plus rebuilding steering box.
Bought 2 gallons of Army correct paint but do not have time to paint.
A few places have rust so I bought replacement panels and in process of replacing (but probably will not finish soon).
I do not need help selling or in a hurry. Selling for what I invested so far minus my time. Cash only and no trades. I plan to keep the Jeep if close to price is not met and continue restoration in the spring. Mechanical works should be completed soon.
I do not have time to finish the complete project thus reason for sale. Price reduction can be negotiated if you want the car as is and finish the work. Price listed is with most of stated work to be completed.
I will not reply to emails or texts, please call only. Please serious calls only and no low balls or scammers!”
“Willys has been restored not original has the original engine repainted new tires has some fiberglass in the passenger side new windshield new engine transmission and transfer case rebuilt front rear end rebuilt”
This CJ-5 is listed as a 1958, but it has the KS 0-8 speedo along with reversed front springs. So, it is likely a 1956 model. It spent much of its life in the military.
“Posting our 1958 Cj-5 jeep for sale
Former Travis Air Force Base flight line jeep transferred to U.S. Army at some point in its life.
This jeep is an excellent farm vehicle and runs like a swiss watch. It has been recently converted to 12 volt and the F134 engine runs strong with good oil pressure and stays cool even lugging around on hot days.
The soft top doesn’t have any tears and is removable.
4×4 works good, and the manual transmission shifts well.
We have used this jeep on our farm for a while and it is time to let it go to a new home.
This jeep has the typical jeep quirks, and it obviously isn’t a brand new vehicle, so it will have its issues here and there.
Located in Gilroy, clean title in hand.
Call or text anytime”
“1948 Willys Jeep CJ2A up for sale. A bit of a project as body and gages need work but it starts and runs well. I do not need help selling this and do not need to sale.”
Glenn shared this militarize CJ-2A. This would fool most people into thinking it was a WW2 jeep.
“1946 Willy’s MB-2A. Basically what we have here is a 1946 CJ2A that was completely modified to a Willy’s MB. The motor, transmission and chassis is CJ, the body and all accessories are MB. This was a 2018 frame up restoration, frame is solid, body and accessories are new. Runs and drives, everything works with the exception of speedometer and fuel gauge, however I have those new and ready to be installed. For a complete list of everything I did and for more photos, please email me or call, there’s simply too much to list. While I can be a *little* flexible, I know how much these are worth, I know how much money I have into it and I know how many of these are floating around out there so keep that in mind when you are looking at my price, no trades please, all accessories included, machine gun as well (it is not a real machine gun) thanks.”
