This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1947 cj2a, rebuilt l134 flat head, new wiring harness, new master cylinder,brake lines,wheel cylinders, rebuilt transmission and transfer case,rebuilt carburetor, new beachwood canvas seats.
perfect body, no rust anywhere. New od paint.
done as a military tribute complete with invasion star on the hood.
Needs nothing but a new home.”

(10/07/2014) Looks solid. Seller believes the jeep was built in 1945, though it seems to be missing the column shift and a couple other items. It does have full floating rear hubs.

It’s a project.
“What you are looking at is an original 1946 CJ2A Willys Jeep that has been painted like a military Jeep. The jeep is a project Jeep. It does not run or drive as of now. It’s fairly complete and the body is pretty solid. It will need floor patching or repair if you wanted to make it perfect. The sides of the body have no bondo on them and are very solid and pretty straight. All you see on the Jeep goes with the Jeep. ”

(07/16/2014) Looks solid, but might need some tuning.
“My father is in poor health. I am selling some of his toys for him. This is a 1951 Willys Jeep that was restored when he bought it in 2001. It has not been run in a couple years. It did run good when he was using it some. It mostly has sat in his heated garage all these years. Hi book value is $23K. We are asking $17,500.”

“Won on eBay to restore for WW2 reenacting Jeep. No rust through, runs, great project for restorer. Not looking for a profit, just to break even or at least come close. Make an offer and we’ll see how it goes. This car is garaged.”
