This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. (12/01/2014) This CJ is a mix of parts. Includes a hoist off the front bumper.
“I’m selling or trade a 1947 Jeep Willys Army green. Original motor and original body frame. It is a classic and runs. It does have an oil leak on the oil pan gasket. Rust on the undercarriage which is expected due to the year but a sand blast can take care of that. Great project car for Veterans or can be used in parades.”

Seller built a M-38 clone from this CJ-2A.
“1947 Willys cj2a .located in Beardstown Il 62618. new metal welded in ,frame not rusted. painted army olive drab. 12 volt ,motor over haled , transmission rebuilt ,transfer case over haled, and new seals on axels . seats recovered by me , bad job! clear Illinois title. also new brakes and hoses and four new tires . soft top and doors comes with it.
Can be test driven in Beardstown”

(03/20/2015) Looks like there is some bondo on the driver’s side.

“1946 Willys CJ2A with Bantam trailer: Jeep in Very Good condition inside and out. Trailer needs minor work. Runs good. Always Garaged.
Not necessary to purchase trailer with the Jeep, but the trailer will not be sold alone.

(04/24/2014) Looks like this is a VEC body. Has an f-head.
“For being 68 yrs old, this is a very nice vehicle. It has matching frame and body serial numbers and numerous newer parts including:
– “F” Head 90 hp motor
– rebuilt transmission
– 12 volt conversion with remanufactured generator
– carburetor
– solenoid, coil, starter & battery
It certainly isn’t perfect, but it’s hard to expect more for the age and the price.”

(04/03/2015) It’s a Texas-like hunting jeep.
“Very solid ,clean, and good running Willys jeep. All original except seats. Back seat is quickly removable.”
Seller lists as a 1950 CJ-2A, but obviously one of those facts is incorrect.

(12/06/2014) Solid militarized CJ-2A.
“This is a hybrid Willys CJ2A body and chassis, with an MB front end, with correct military accessories, and correct WWII Olive Drab green paint, made to match that of the WWII Willy’s MB. Ready to drive. It cold starts first try every time, runs smooth and drives straight. Converted to 12 Volt system. 4 wheel drive is fully operational. 8,000 miles on original 4 cylinder L head Go-Devil engine. 3 speed – T-90 Transmission. 5 brand new military style tires. Always garaged. The body has been restored, minor rust on frame. Includes PTO winch on front end, which is operational but does not have a cable. Comes with authentic soft top from a Ford GPW. Locations of choke and throttle do not match that of an MB, but can be moved to correct locations. Includes spare cylinder head, all gaskets necessary for an engine overhaul, brand new spare Solex Carburetor, new spare intake and exhaust manifolds and gaskets. This jeep is more reliable than my daily driver; I really don’t want to let it go and know I will regret it when it’s gone so come get it before I change my mind. ”
