About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
(06/06/2017) Looks like some money was spent on this rebuild.
“This is a very rare 1961 Willys FJ3 Postal Van with original F134 Flat Head 4 and Borg Warner automatic transmission.
There is none nicer – Just completed the professional Exotic Coach Specialist 4 year mechanical restoration includes a long block rebuild, transmission, rear end, 12 volt wiring harness, brakes, cooling system, new carb, custom aluminum fuel tank, custom seats and so on. Too much to list. Van runs and drives great. Odometer reads 74,000 but just approximately 100 miles since rebuild. Top speed is 55 mph. Own a piece of history with this right side drive postal van made by Willys in Toledo, Ohio.”
“1950 Willys CJ3A Runs, drives, and stops as it should. keeping in mind that it is a 67 year old vehicle. I had it on the road until 2 years ago. 4 cylinder engine with the 6 volt system. Please email me with questions and i will be happy to answer them. If you would like me to call you please include your phone number. Please, no offers until you have seen the vehicle in person. true mileage unknown. Clear title in hand.”
(08/05/2016) I haven’t seen a rear bumper/light setup quite like that one.
“Beautiful 1947 Willys CJ2A Frame Off Restoration. All original drive train with rebuilt motor,All new wiring, fuel and brake lines,Under body and interior protected with spray on bed liner. Chrome wheels and custom made bumpers and roll bar, Classy three stage pearl white paint make this beauty a one of a kind. NO DEALERS PLEASE!”
Looks like a good build. I wonder if that’s a custom radiator. Looks like it ought to keep the engine cool.
“This is a very rare original 1960s California hot rod. 1955 Chevy 265 V8 purchased in 1962. I have the original bill of sale. It has vintage WW2 correct Olive Drab paint and vintage painted stencils! It has an original WW2 Jeep frame, original WW2 windshield, and many other military specific parts.
This Jeep was built right! A 1957 Thunderbird Holley carb that has been completely rebuilt. It has an early 1960s Ford steering column and master cylinder, a handmade custom roll bar and optional rear seat. It features real military aircraft seat belts!
This great Jeep has been inspected from bumper to bumper and ALL parts have been repaired or replaced! It is ready to go! New gas tank, windshield gaskets and interior gauges. Fog lights were originally sourced from a farm tractor!
It has the original transmission and heavy duty Dana 44s so top speed is about 60mph. This transmission also has a rare Borg Warner overdrive attached. It was disconnected when the transmission was rebuilt a few years ago. The military blackout light and parking brake has not been wired up. This is a 1st year Chevrolet V8 engine with a rare 1955 Corvette intake and valve covers! The engine purrs like a kitten and doesn’t smoke at all or use oil!
It has a very small amount of oil and transmission fluid seepage when warmed up but that is completely normal for these Jeeps. It drives wonderfully with lots of power, very few rattles, shifts smoothly and has a functional 1940s siren.
This original California car is in outstanding 1960s condition. The OD paint of many many years ago is beautifully aged with a great old school look! The only rust that can be seen is in the hat channels under the body. This is extremely common due to the wood inserts and has no effect on the safety of the Jeep. The floors and body are solid! The back rear corners have some small dents and a bit of rust near the taillights. Amazing condition for a Willys that has never been restored or removed from it’s frame!
A shy person shouldn’t drive this Jeep! Be ready to have many people wave and stop you to talk.
Also several extra parts come with the Willys. A Coca-Cola picnic cooler, the original steering column, and several cool military tools and vintage fire extinguishers.
This Jeep is being sold As Is with No warranty. Many documents and receipts are included back to 1962! I can help with shipping but payment in full must clear first. Ask your family before you buy as all purchases are final.”
“Rolling Artwork Classic – Luzon red, artisan painted faux wood grained body, Willys Overland, 2wd, always garaged. Never seen snow or rain, new paint, new tires, NOS & reproduction chrome, refurbished 1999. F-head 134, 3 speed o/d, 6 volt, good wiring, working brakes, original instruments. Turn signals and seat belts added.
Great looking, fun driving and will maintain 60-65 mph in o/d. Have spare parts, mechanics manual and records. You or your business will get noticed!”
“1948 Willys Jeepster two door roadster, with a 302 V8, Ford C6 transmission, Ford Mustang power steering, runs well, can be used for parades and touring, and an overall unique car.”
“This Willys is in great shape. 283 purs like a kitten. Has 2 barrel carb. 12volt. Still has point system. Powerglide shifts well. Has dual cylinder master cylinder. Interior is complete. All windows with no cracks. Wiring was redone and everything works. Minus fuel gauge but seems like a poor ground is the issue. Has a minor oil leak and trans leak. Call for more picks.”
“Original 1961 Willys Jeep, Hurricane 134 4 cylinder engine, 3 manual speed transmission with transfer case. Manuel hub locks. Some newer parts but mostly original. Good tires and brakes, Roll bar and new vinyl “Best Top” with removable doors. Also comes with a bikini top. Warn brand winch. Runs strong.”
“This is a classic 1947 Willys pickup. 90% original though previous owner painted the truck and re-upholstered the seat. Runs well and is a blast to drive. 3-speed transmission and original engine. This truck will get you noticed!”
