About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
This sits on a CJ-7 frame. Looks like they did a good job adapting the body to the frame.
“1947 Willy Jeep on CJ 7 frame. Has a V-6 engine that runs great with a dual exhaust. Built for rock climbing Has special transmission for climbing. Has 35 inch Mickey Thompson Tires. Road ready and road worthy–legal for off road or highway. This jeep made the front page of Rock Climbing magazine volume 47. Well built rig. Will go through anything. Much better than a side by side. Lots of interesting mods to the jeep. Is that paint or a wrap?
“This 1952 Willys has had several modifications, namely a reconfigured floor pan and cowl to accommodate the late-model Ford 302 small block V-8 and C-4 automatic transmission. The engine is dressed with Ford Racing Billet accessories, MSD ignition, 4 barrel carburetor and ceramic coated headers and dual exhausts with chrome side pipes

“This antique Jeepster was stored in a barn for 38 years. Since I acquired it last year it has been recommissioned mechanically and cosmetically. It is now titled and is fun to drive around town. It has a push button starter on the floor and is a 3 on the column standard shift with a cable operated Overdrive. This convertible with side curtains comfortably rolls along at 40 to 50 mph and seats up to 6.
It has a new fuel tank and sender, reman fuel pump and carb, new wide white wall tires, brakes, exhaust, shocks and a complete new wiring harness. The black interior, top and carpeting are in reasonably good used condition. The paint is patch work of touch ups but the result is a comfortable usable finish like your favorite set of jeans. If you are serious about buying this Jeepster I will take you out for a drive.”

(06/04/2017) Looks nice. This has an early 0-10 speedo, but the front spring shackles aren’t reversed. I believe they should be reversed if this is truly a ’55 (I thought the springs were reversed at least into ’56?).
