About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“This is 1942 GPW world war 2 jeep. It has been painted and worked on so it is not completely original.
It runs good and has great interior on the front and back seats.
We are also unable to read the odometer so we have not listed the odometer reading.
Definitely a collectors item for those interested.”
(5/31/2014) Looks like a nice rig. The Gauge dash is neat.
“Adult owned never abused frame off build from the mid 90s mostly trail driven with a 283 all its life, currently has a pro built 406 chevy small block, pete jackson gear drive, c&j prepped holley 750, roller rockers, super-comp headers with flowmasters, runs on pump gas, and does NOT run hot! Used regularly in the sand dunes for years, super reliable, standard wheel base / width, flanged, off-set, dana 44 rear and 25 front, both have Detroit lockers, summers bros axles, 4 speed muncie M23HD, centerforce clutch, scatter shield, warn overdrive, 25 gal fuel cell in back, 4 stu paddle tires and like new bfg 33′ all terrians, 3A windshield and soft top, 2 sets of doors, current ca tags and clean title. Just getting too old for it! No scammers or BS if you are reading this, the jeep is still for sale.”
It’s no reserve auction currently at only $102.50. Certainly worth that! I’m less convinced about the ‘extremely collectable’ claim.

“Just reduced for a quick sale is my original numbers matching Willys Wagon. please call with questions and to schedule a time to see it. This car appraised at 18500 wont last long at this price.”
The rear sides of the wagon have been trimmed, but otherwise this seems solid.
“WILLYS WAGON, 1951, 6 cylinder orig low milage engine, 58,000 miles, orig rear, NEW—brakes, springs, gas tank, ETC, 3 speed on floor, 4WD, GREEN WITH BLACK TRIM, like new tires, TITLED, REGISTERED, DRIVEN, kept indoors, ORIGINAL OWNERS MANUAL”
UPDATE: More photos added, including interior shots. It’s clearly a compilation of parts. It is listed as a 1950 M-38, but the body and fenders are MBish or aftermarket MBish. Unclear why there are no tool indents on driver’s side.

No rust, runs great. Originally was OD green. It was painted white when put in service by the civil defense. It has been used as a small brush truck. Winch and tools not included. We received an AFG grant and need to sell this to help pay for the grant. Asking $8500 or best offer.”
“This is a 1954 Jeep Willys with all original parts and equipment.
It starts and drives good, and the 4×4, four wheel drive works good. It takes a lot to get it stuck. It has a hard top that can be removed. It has a strong running Continental engine. It even has a snow plow that was mounted on the front if you want to play with it.
The plow is raised by an electric winch. This has been kept as mainly a “toy to play with”
This is a CJ 2 or CJ 3 I think grandad said. It is one of the original Jeeps before they became the “wrangler””
“What you are looking at is a motor pool restored 1950 Willys M38 Jeep. This Jeep is very original will nearly every part from the day it was built by Willys. This was a frame off restoration. Clear title. Ready to go anywhere.

(07/16/2014) Looks solid, but might need some tuning.
“My father is in poor health. I am selling some of his toys for him. This is a 1951 Willys Jeep that was restored when he bought it in 2001. It has not been run in a couple years. It did run good when he was using it some. It mostly has sat in his heated garage all these years. Hi book value is $23K. We are asking $17,500.”
Joe alerted me to the sale of this Fire Jeep through Sotheby’s. Joe thought it was used as en emergency vehicle at the Mrs. Paul Mellon estate (4,000 acres) in Upperville, VA west of Washington, DC.
