Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Looks like a good little jeep with a few mods.
“1947 Willy’s Jeep, This jeep was completely rebuilt 15 years ago, has new fiberglass body, new top with doors, rear seat with storage, spent $5,700.00 on parts alone, not counting labor. Has 4 cyclendar flat head engine, everything works great just 630 miles since it was rebuilt. To old to drive it & no place to park it. Real Sweetheart purrs like a Kitty, first $4,500.00 takes it home.”
The seller seems to be listed in the Klamath, Oregon, area, but is listing the jeep in California (probably due to the price). Looks like a nice rig. The jeep looks familiar, but I couldn’t find it in my archives.
“Registered as a 1950 Ford but is actually an early 1940’s. It has been painstakingly rebuilt from the body up by owner. Updated axles, transmission and engine. Too many upgrades to list but will answer any questions when you call.
Asking $40,000 since owner currently has $50,000 invested. Less than 1,000 miles since completion of rebuild.

There’s been a bunch of work on this updated wagon. Even the front springs are reversed.
“Complete off frame restoration. Has a Chevrolet 350 fuel injection engine with an Automatic Chevrolet 5 speed transmission. Warranty on Engine and Transmission expires on March 15, 2016. It has a Land Cruiser transfer case and Land Cruiser front and rear axles. The Vehicle is driven daily and runs smoothly.”

complete new paint top to bottom, new pretty much everything, has only 30 miles on it sense it was re-assembled. Must really come take a look to appreciate this jeep”

“I have a 1961 Willys CJ6 jeep for sale, clean title. I have had this jeep for over 30 years but it is time to let it go. I no longer have use for it and would like it to go to someone that will us it! It runs like a champ have had the carburetor, original PTO winch, engine rebuilt back in 2007-2009.
