Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Restored in 2002. Originally from Klamath Falls, Oregon. One of 315 made in 1961.
Motor 1985 4.3 Chevy V6, Overdrive Transmission 700 R4, Transfer Case 208, Gears 4:88’s. Power ABS brakes with front disc and rear drum, power steering with original column,
Custom interior and headliner (black but looks grey in photo) by Jerry’s Upholstery. Color: Solar Yellow by Color Wise. (Some photos of metal show an orange reflection – from my shirt.) Great sound system mounted inside the glove box: Sony FM/AM CD Player mounted in the glove box, with Rotary Commander control and built in JBL speakers. Bucket seats tilt up for additional storage, with 3 point seat belts. Tinted glass. Spray in bed liner. Many extras, like a battery light under the hood.
I am selling this for my son who now lives in Hawaii. He restored it in 2002 and showed it at the Portland Hotrod Show in 2003 and 2004 and got “Runner Up” trophies each time. Has permanent, special interest license plate.
I have a file of receipts of services and equipment totaling over 25K, which does not include sweat equity. Priced to sell now at $15,700. Call to come take a look. “

“I am selling my 49 Willys. It has a 350 chevy engine, long tube headers,mild cam, holley 750 carb, Mallory electronic ignition, turbo 400 automatic transmission, Dane 44 in back and a Dana 30 up front. Full roll cage. Estimated horsepower is 360. It was a sand dune racer from southern California. Would make a bad ass ice racer here in Colorado. Comes with 3 tops, a cover and a bunch of extra pieces/parts. Cash only please. Vin verification is done. Price is negotiable.”

“Listing this for the widow of a friend who passed away. A restored 1943 Ford GPW with a restored WWII 1/4-ton trailer. The GPW has a browning (demilled) .30 air cooled MG with ammo boxes and accessories. It also has a canvas top. It has combat wheels all around with “Ford” script tires. This is an older restoration that has had loving care since restored. Well worth the asking price”

“1942 “Willy’s” Jeep. Yes, this is like the one Dad had but better! This Jeep is about 90 percent restored. Runs great, just don’t have an interest in it any longer.Has original canvas top,split window,with the flat head four “Willy’s motor. Runs great,original 6 volt system with a 12volt starter. A ridge of some type has been added to the bottom side of the body.

“I have a 1948 Willys CJ2A barn find for sale
Original F4 engine, all original except for the roll bar, wheels and tires. Staight body very little rust. Comes the hard to find metal hard top that was made by USA Iron Works, and metal doors, has all of the hardware and original glass for hard top and doors. New brakes and master cylinder. All electrical works, street legal, good tags and clean title, 47mph, climbs like crazy! Starts right up and runs really nice. This is a great little jeep, its a classic and would not take much to restore or just leave it like it is….. call or text and I will get back to you as soon as I can.”

“1954 Willy’s M38-A1 Military Jeep with a 1952 M102 Trailer. Jeep is titled and plated. Trailer has no title bill of sale only. Over $10,000 invested with most of the receipts. Has been in parades. Runs drives, stops and turns. Low, high, 2 wheel and 4 wheel are work as designed.”

The 4wd works well and easily goes in and out of 4 wheel and 2 wheel, and high and low. The transmission shifts well and has never popped out of gear on me. The engine is solid and one of the cleanest I’ve seen on the inside after having the intake and oil pan off. I did a casting number search on it to find out the build specs and year and it came from the factory with 275hp. With the addition of the carb, intake, HEI ignition, and headers it is pretty easily past 300hp now. “
