Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This looks solid, but I think the paint needs a closer look. It appears uneven just under the driver’s side mirror.
“This Jeep was part of a motor pool at an air museum for 20 years as a flight line/follow me Jeep. Go Devil motor runs great. No rust. ALL gauges and lights work as they should. Running on 12 volt, converted from 24 volt.
Great driver (a real head turner) as is, or an easy full restore.

It looks like this is an older restoration.
“1953 Willy’s four cylinder F-head Over Head Valve with Weber Carburetor… Runs and drives great… Paint not perfect but in good condition… Four wheel high and low and two wheel high – about 45mph comfortable highway speed… Three speed manual transmission but very low gear in four wheel low… All in all great condition for a vehicle sixty years old… Tires good – box lined with diamond plate – power brakes – power steering unit in back of truck not installed… 940-612-9636…”

Sierra County, NM, once claimed to have more jeeps per capita then any other county. I don’t know if that fact is true, but it was claimed to be the case in a 1950s article. Ever wonder how Truth or Consequences, NM, got its name? Read about it here.

This has no title, but it looks pretty good.
“1960 Willy’s Jeep for sale, it is a CJ-5 with an inline 4 Cylinder and three speed on the floor. 4-Wheel Drive works great, hub locks work. I’ve done a lot of work on the jeep but don’t have a place to drive it anymore. It needs to be out in the country. No Title, so it will make a great hunting / ranch vehicle. It’s worth more than i’m asking but have it discounted for the title situation. $2,500 pretty firm.
The jeep runs great, in the past three years i have replaced:
The battery, The fuel pump, The clutch, The brakes, The carburetor, The windshield, The wipers, Spark plugs
The only issues i run into:
You cant down shit to 1st gear. (timing issue in the gear box that only effects a down shift)”

“We’re selling our 1964 Willy Wagon. Asking price is 3800.00 obo. I have replaced the shocks and gas tank. I bought a new master cylineder, however havent had the time to get it installed. The wagon runs great. We actually were using it as a daily driver.”
