The April 1955 issue of Willys News published this photo. It’s a tour jeep truck for the Africa. It seems a little too open to me. Those lions look like they could easily leap inside.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was for auction.
Check out the grille on this CJ-3B (that is probably not a 3B). A second parts jeep is also being auctioned.
“ESTATE AUCTION OF CARROLL (BUCK) SANDS, Saturday Oct 3.
SATURDAY OCTOBER 3RD @ 10:00AM”
The other jeep being auctions. It’s a CJ-2A.
Here’s something special. It runs. You’d be the only one on the block with this rig.
“Most all work has din done and alot of new parts was in the process of restoring but I’m burnt out 4wheel drive all works run’s and drives all wiring is new motor was rebuild a few years ago clean title serious people onely may consider art trade call”
Hey, it runs and drives. Could be useful for someone.
“62 Willy Jeep frame and drive line. 231 Buick VA engine w/headers. Everything works including hydraulics . This is your answer to the 15,000$ ATV!!!!! There is no title because it’s an assembled vehicle. This is for off road/ATV use. Had to put a number in odometer section”
UPDATE: Still Available.
(09/08/2015) This has some unusual mods.

The fenders give this a Ford GTB look. Kind of . . . No description provided.
This is another CJ-5/CJ-3A combined body.
“1949 Willy Jeep CJ3A body mounted on a 1955 CJ5 frame. It has a 225-V6 with a 3spd Transmission. The front axle is a Dana 27 and the rear axle is a Dana 44. The frame is perfect and the body is good. This is a project vehicle and currently does not run or drive. It’s been in dry storage since 1980. All of the major parts are there to complete. If your looking for a Jeep project this is a great opportunity. ”
Franziska Gygax shared pics of this jeep on Facebook. He wrote, “Was made by Kaspar Gut a swiss carosserie maker. In the back is place for 4 swiss milk cans. And on the weekend you rebuilt the back to 1 seat for 2 people“
UPDATE: Price dropped to $7000.
(03/15/2015) This body is a blend of CJ-5 and flatfender. It looks well done.
“1947 CJ2A with 302 V8 and C4 transmission out of a ’71 Mustang. It has a Dana 18 transfer case, a Dana 44 rear axle and a 25 front with 5.38 gears and Torsen gear driven limited slips in both. The frame has been fully boxed and a second fuel tank has been added between the rails in the rear for a total of 20 gallons. It is lifted 3″ with 33×12.50×15 tires that have plenty of tread. There is a Warn 8274 winch on the front and a removable spare tire rack that holds two Jerry cans on the back, when the rack is off there are an additional two Jerry can mounts on the back of the tub. There is absolutely no rust and everything works right down to the fuel gauge, speedometer, blinkers, heater and wipers. It comes with a tow bar so you can haul it or drive it away, it handles just fine on the highway. The little jeep is in great running condition and is ready to hit the road or trail. ”
