About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“Sand Drag/Dune /. 1/8 mile asphalt. Jeep. BB Chevy. Powerglide 8” converter. 9” rearend. Disc brakes. 4 link and coil overs front n rear. New rear tires n wheels. Engine ,Trans and Rearend fresh beginning of last season.”
“1962 Willys, Utility Wagon, 4 wheel drive. Current odometer reads 47,691 (not likely original), suitable as a daily driver with original “Hurricane” 6 totally professionally rebuilt (46,467miles). Straight through rebuilt transfer case (46,636 miles) Unlike original is very quiet. and later model Jeep all synchro 5 speed adapted to give freeway speeds in 5th gear. Car will do 65 MPH at 2300 RPM, will go faster but why would you? Added Tachometer, column mounted shown in pictures, helps to know when to shift.
New front hubs, All guages work. Front seat shoulder mounted seat belts added in front. Springs have been re-arched to raise to original level. Interior is like new green vinyl with recently carpeted front seat area. Excellent paint inside and out, resides in sunny southern California and has no rust. Wood panels recently added to cover previous wood panel effort *.
“You are looking at a 1949 Willys Jeepster Overland Convertible! Solid vehicle with manual transmission and a flat 4. Just got it running and it is getting a new top and a brake job! Give me a call so we can talk about how we can make my car yours. I feel that my price of $12,000 is very realistic for a collector car like this one with the potential that this vehicle has.”
Lots of updates to this custom build. The body appears to be from a DJ-3A Convertible or a Surrey. The front frame rails have a curious shape; the chassis may not be a jeep chassis.
UPDATE II: The current owner bought this Jeepster this summer. He was wondering if anyone knows any history on this former Shriner’s vehicle?

This former Grays Harbor Shriner’s Jeepster has even converted to an automatic tranny (probably from a Pinto … looks like one anyway) with a Pinto engine. I love the history on this one. Looks like a great price.
“Rare 1950 Willys Jeepster. Updated with Pinto engine, 12 volt system. Always stored indoors. No rust. Former Shrine clown car. $5,000 Please call, no texting.”
This flattie has had some work. The serial number of 26676 suggests it is a 1946 VEC, but maybe the “1” was forgotten in the front of the serial number.
“This Cheetah Willys Jeep has no rust, the original rebuilt engine, 11 inch brakes on the front with lock out 4WD hubs. The steering is Saginaw retro fit. Tight ride with all new brakes, lines and master. She runs great and is a truly fun ride.
This is the second car I built with my daughter after the 45 Ford Jeep. She also did the Cheetah paint job with me altering stripping the bondo job someone did and redoing the whole body. This car runs really well, fun to drive out in the open air, the windshield is detachable, tail gate opens. (doesn’t come with dog)”
It turns over, but doesn’t start at the moment. The Kelly hardtop looks to me to be the Custom Full Cab, rather than a Safari top.
“Price reduced…
This Jeep is actually a CJ6 safari edition. It has a pto pinch with snow plow attachment. I don’t have the plow. The engine turns over but don’t start due to the fuel system being disconnected to be cleaned. Just don’t have time to finish it.”
