About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
The engine doesn’t turn over, but unclear if it spins by hand. The seller will sell it without the engine and tranny for $2000. The body sure does look solid. This even has the metal drain strip under the hood hinge (I have one of these drain pieces if anyone is interested).
“very early cj3a. motor doesn’t turn over and is missing the breather , I will keep the crossover tube in motor picture The body very nice for a georgia car. Stored indoors for decades. a little rust here and there but all in all very straight and complete. would compare to those western cars any day

(02/24/2013) This looks like a great restoration project.
“Up for auction is a 1951 Willys M38 Jeep project. I purchased this jeep a few years ago from a local School District.
From what I am told this jeep has been owned by the School district since 1967. I have the maintenance records since 1967. It was used to pull a gang mower for years Than at some point a snow plow was installed and used a couple of times each year . The rest of the time it just sat always inside. In 2007 they pushed it a little to hard and seized up the engine. It did run after it cooled down but sounds like it has bad bearings now. That was the last time it was used. After sitting inside the shop for two more years it was sent to the auction to be sold and I hauled it home.
My intention was to do a frame off restoration not back to original but keep it close to stock. I have disassembled this jeep. The frame has been sandblasted, primed and painted. front and rear bumpers and bumperetts were replaced. New springs and shocks have been installed. Front and rear DIffs were disassembled cleaned and reassembled with new seals and gaskets along with new wheel cylinders and brake shoes.
Paint is the original green color.
Wheels have been sandblasted and repainted and tires remounted with new tubes.
The frame is now back on it’s wheels.
At this point I don’t think I will ever finish this project so I have decided to sell.
This jeep is not a rust bucket, keep in mind It has been inside for 46 years. The tub has some damage to both rear corners that can be repaired . The under side of the tub was undercoated so there is not a lot of rust. (see pictures)
I have found that the engine serial # is a MBxxxx not a MCxxxx with a tag saying Rebuilt in 1956. The Data tags on the dash were gone so there is no serial # there.
Data tag on the rear wheel well is there but is different than the one on the title.
The seat frames had been cut down and other seats installed. This M38 project has a good start and I would love to see someone finish it. I hate to have to part it out.
I will load as many pictures as possible if you need more please let me know and I will send them. I am selling this M38 as is where is. I will not ship it. So ask questions now.”
Dan pointed out this rare Suzuki for sale on eBay.
“this is a very rare 1972 suzuki lj20 brute iv 4-wheel drive 359 cc two stroke with 20900 miles on it. we have owned it sence december of 2007 and hade engine rebulit back in 2009 with less than 500 miles one it. totaly restored body and was painted white “witch was original color” with clear coat everything works and runs great with a set of 5 brand new michelin tires and american raceing rims all with less than 500 miles on it and it rides like a dream. the repaint, engine rebuild and tires + rims were all done in july to august of 2009 and in september of 2009 was taken to moab utah for a 4-wheel meet and out of its 500 miles about 200 was done offroad and the other was all done on city/street driving for car shows and meets. it is fited with a tach witch was not original but helps to know what rpm you are doing on these vehicals. as far as the history of the vehical it is a local vehical sence the mid 80’s to our information that we have recived.”

“Decided to sell my 1952 Willys CJ3A that just recently completed a full, frame off restoration. My family has owned this Jeep for 37 years (since 1975) when my Dad bought. He recently passed away and this Jeep isn’t helping the healing process for some reason.
This Willys went thru a complete restoration and was finished in 2012. A complete BRAND NEW steel body was purchased and installed. Frame was sandblasted, tec. Jeep has original motor and trans as well as a very RARE factory installed rear PTO winch. Tires are OEM originals and also Brand New. The list of New Parts is very long, all original and expensive!
Those of you that know these Jeeps, know what they are worth. I’m looking for the Best Offer. For those of you out there that are tire kickers, I will advise you that any offer under $15k won’t even be considered……so that’s the ballpark I’m playing in.
Email or text wih any questions…..33zero-42one-68zero0”
The bumper could use replacing, but this pic hints that this might be in decent shape.
“This is a 1956 4 wheel drive Willys pick up. I believe it’s all original including the 134 CID 6CYL and Borg Warner transmission. It was a running truck when I bought it as a project 2 years ago. It has since been started a few times but has not been run in about 6-8 months. Will require a tune up to be road ready again.
