These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1952 Willys M38A1 Military Jeep, completley restored, 4WD, original Hurricane engine (30k), 24 volt system, combat lights, new OEM tires, Asking $ 9500.00 OBO. ”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $7000.
Looks solid, though not 100% original.

Starts and runs, but needs brakes.

(03/29/2013) This has a few patches, but it runs and drives.
“Dad bought this new. I’m the 2nd owner. Have title. Runs and drives. Needs brake work. Body is functional w/no holes in floor pan. Frame is in excellent shape. New radiator. Best offer w/reserve. Drivers door and rear hatch are available.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $4200.
Body is a ittle rough, but it appears to run and drive.

This looks like a pretty rare hardtop. I don’t have time to locate it in my files tonight, but I’m sure I’ve posted something about it.

“1953 M38A1 Willys-Overland 4×4 ¼ Ton Jeep
Very good condition; runs good; 25,650 miles.
Restored to vintage period condition using original, new old stock (NOS), or remanufactured new items.
New batteries, rebuilt carburetor, new tires, canvas top and side curtains, vintage parts and accessories.
Seats in good condition, shovel mounted under hood, 5 gallon gas can with spout, complete set of manuals.”

This runs and drives. It looks like a good price.

This has a rear PTO.
“1948 Willies Jeep. A great project vehicle, has the unusual side steps and rear power takeoff. The engine is week but runs and is used to plow snow every winter. Needs extensive body work but is basically solid. Asking $3000 or best offer”
