This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “I have a 1947 Willy’s jeep that I put a stainless steel body on. Has rebuilt willy’s motor.disk brakes,’89 front and rear differential, new gear box, custom built 20 gal gas tank, very nice seats. maybe has 6000 miles on running gear. this jeep has taken two seconds and one first at car shows. I am the 2nd owner. I have the original title. I use this jeep for jeeping and show.”

(10/02/2014) Looks in good shape. I think this includes a CJ-5.
“1948 jeep restored about 10 years ago. One of the nicest around and made so a bigger guy can drive it. Turns on a dime. Too nice for the hills. But made to go hunting if that’s what you want. Nice comfortable high back seats make for comfortable ride. and has a S 10 tire rack on the back. Bikini top as well as a full soft top. Radio needs to be reinstalled. No biggy there. Drives smooth with 1200 dollars worth of wheels. And matching spare. $8500. It is one of the nicest CJ3A’s around. You won’t find one this nice for this price. And no diamond plate so no rust has been cover up. Heater fan does need to be reversed. Price is firm. Has sat for over a year. Has roll bar and is gun metal grey. I just don’t drive it or the 55 CJ5 with a snow plow so both need to go. Both have 4 cyl. engines.”

Here’s a rare set of Kelly hubs.
“Kelly Mfg. Automatic locking hubs. These are off of a 1953 Willys CJ3a, but, should fit most Jeeps with a Dana 25 or 27 front axle. They are ten spline. These hubs were usually dealer installed options, and are in very good shape, and in working order. Great for a restoration project. $80.00, or would consider trading for a good 5.38 ring and pinion for the same Dana 25/27 front axle.”
