Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1947 Willys Jeep. And a 1951 Willys Jeep for parts. The red 47 was running and used to push/pull vehicles into an auto clinic. Hasnt been syarted in several years and rats got to the wiring and hoses. Motor turns over by hand. The blue 51 had a new clutch installed a few years ago, but haven’t done anything with it since. No titles and lots of rust. I don’t have time to fix them up like I wanted. Located near Clifty, AR. $2500 obo.”

“Cj2A tub. Left sided spare tire bracket, called a “left tub” I was told there was only around 10,000 made but either way it’s a half way decent tub that will get your project moving. Better suited for a driver or rock bouncer, or if you’ve got the time it’s restorable.”

“47 Willy’s, on 69 cj frame w Buick v6. 4 speed manual transmission 4 wheel drive. New tie rods . Does run but I haven’t started it in years. So it needs some minor tlc. “Very rare 1946 Jeep Willy with 9x,xxx miles. Very good condition. It has been in a shed its entire life. 2 owner vehicle. We but a battery and some fresh gas and it started right up.
