About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

“1946 jeep chassis only complete running gear less body. I just want the body. the motor was done in 1990 by the balance shop in reseda ca .the motor is an international 152 slant four cylinder 1970 it has maybe 100 hours on it call days ”
(09/10/2015) It’s a project, but includes an engine that might have been rebuilt.
“1948 Willy’s CJ2A jeep. This is a project waiting for the right person. Engine is a flat head four cylinder and appears to have been rebuilt. Looks like most everything is there except the seats and radiator. Last driven on the streets in 1984. Transfer case has two levers, one for 2-4 wheel drive, one for high-low range. Very good shape for a vehicle this old. Restore it, build a crawler or just drive it the way it is. Great patina. It is titled as a 1948, no emission requirements like air pumps or catalytic converters. You can put any engine you want under the hood and not have to worry about it. Lock out hubs.”
UPDATE: Joe in Mesa photographed these jeeps in March of 2014. He took LOTS of pics. These have just been listed on Craigslist for the following prices:
Three old titled Willys jeeps 1946, 1948 and 1950 1946 is original engine and thrive train $2000 1950 is original engine and drive train $2650 1948 has dodge 6 cyl with original drive train $1450 All will start and run. Bring your battery and fuel to start on site if you want to hear them run
Original post (Mar. 6, 2014) Joe spotted these jeeps in a parking in downtown Florence, AZ. He writes, “I was driving north on the historic main street of old Florence AZ yesterday (about a 6 block drive) when on the left I saw these 4 old Willys jeeps… ALL FOR SALE! (not sure about the red Scrambler there). I have not contacted the seller to find out the story behind wanting to get rid of them.”
“I am listing my 1946 Willys CJ2A for sale. This is a daily driver and not a show piece. The transmission and transfer case were just rebuilt. All of the brake components have been replaced over the past few years. The Jeep has been upgraded to 12 volts with a GM alternator. The seat bottoms have been replaced. I have a black soft top, eight of the older narrow wheels, and a few transmissions and transfer cases that will be included with sale. I am selling the Jeep as I don’t have time to use and enjoy it anymore. Restore it or drive it as is. Bill of sale only.”
“I have a 1942 frame and a 1947 tub. It is titled as a 1942.
Willys needs the following work to be road worthy;
New or rebuilt carb. This one has sat with gas in it.
New starter. The one that it has is missing a couple of teeth on the gear.
Windshield glass. I have the gaskets, just not the flat glass.
The wood blocks that go on the hood so that you can lower the windshield.
Sounds like an easy weekend. Continue reading →
