Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. It’s a got a CJ-5 body with a CJ-3A cowl.
“This jeep is four wheel drive with 4cyl engine. Everything works,12 volt non directional tires Standard transmission, have parts jeep that goes with it . Has been kept inside for years . Transmission slips out of second gear I’ve been to lazy to fix it runs and drives great I don’t need it on farm anymore”

“This is a project that would be fairly easy to complete if someone has the time. Its a parts jeep to my knowledge an early willys frame and a later model body. The frame is in great shape and body is as well except for a few dents and rust spots in floor. I have a Willy engine that was completely rebuilt and was running smoothly when i took it out. I have tons of parts for it and have done a lot of work but like I said just don’t have time to finish it! I’ve done all the hard work, trust me when I say it will be easier to rebuild than it was to take apart! Please call, txt, or email with any questions as this jeep is completely disassembled and I can take more pics and answer or get answers to any questions you might have! This is a PROJECT JEEP! 5250 OBO”

Runs, but no brakes.
“This is a nearly complete and very much original ’51 CJ-3A. The tub is very rough but the frame is solid. L-134 Go-Devil engine has original stamped 3A serial number and is still 6V. It starts and drives easily but has no brakes.
This is no doubt a serious project but if you are looking for a solid restoration platform this a good one.

(04/02/2016) It’s a project.
“1949 Willy’s CJ 2A with a Ford V8 in it. I believe the the engine needs rebuilt. The Jeep does not run. I have a clean Pink slip in hand and it is currently in non-op. The Tub is rusty and the seats need 100% redone. I’m asking $1,800 for this Jeep.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $4500. listed as a CJ-3A, it looks more like an M-38. Has some updates.

Good body minimal rust, 350 Chevy, newer edelbrock, Muncie 4 speed hurst shifter, Ramsey shaft drive winch, drum brakes bled, adjusted and work perfectly, hydraulic clutch, fresh Hercules liner, upgraded steering, all lights work. Great driving well sorted little truck, just got it out of storage. ”
