Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. (11/03/2013) Sean saw this one in person. I agree that there isn’t much CJ-V35U left. He wrote, “It is in good shape overall except the fuel tank had rusted out. Not much makes it a v35/u in terms of specialized parts. The seller is selling it for the widow of friend and her kids have ridiculous expectations on the price. So right now he cant talk her down below 8k.”

It appears solid, but there have been a few alterations from stock.
“1952 Willys CJ3A. In good condition for its age. This jeep sat for a couple decades prior to my starting with it about 5 years ago. Currently runs and drives well (for a 1952). No engine/mechanical issues. Probably one of the best condition original engine jeeps of this era you will find. It is right at the spot where you could either go for a restoration or a crawler build, or do what I did and run it just as is. Currently has the rear swing out tire carrier, the roll bar (not stock on Jeeps this old) and the removable rear seat.
Its not one I have to sell, but I haven’t driven it must in the last couple years, and I would like the garage space. I may be interested in a trade for the right road motorcycle or maybe something else interesting let me know what you have. I have a current clean title in hand ready to transfer. This has some unusual features. No shortage of dash switches. I can’t tell what’s painted on the hood. The hubs appear unusual.
