These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“I have a 1949 CJ3A for sale. All original. 6V System, all lighting and gauges work as well as the parking brake. Has 134 cubic inch 4 cylinder flathead. Has a heater and soft top. Asking $6,000 OBO. Just in time for Rubicon run!! Vehicle is located in Pollock Pines.”
There’s some value, but hard to tell just how much work is done.
“Willys jeep(( no title)) with Buick 225 V6 , T190 Trans, fiberglass body,aluminum wheels,headers,6 point roll cage, Painless wiring panel, tow bar and engine (low mileage) with aluminum intake. Frame and new fiber glass body are undercoated inside and out Tub is painted “Swift red” while the front end (not pictured but in excellent shape) needs painted. I no longer have time for this project and would like to see it go to an ambitious person. The body consisting of tub, fenders, grille, hood, and windshield are well worth the asking price of the complete vehicle. 2000 Neg. (02/15/2012) It starts and runs, but needs some work.
“Jeep has a rebuilt engine, but has been sitting for a while. The body is in decent shape. The engine will fire up and run, will have to poor gas in the carb. Tires are decent. It is an original 1950s CJ3A willys jeep. The jeep also comes with a later model rear seat and 2 front seats.”
(05/02/2012) It runs and drives, but doesn’t stop.
“951 Willys CJ3A Jeep, No title, runs/drives, motor smokes, but sounds good, does not stop needs brakes, body is nice, will need floors patched. Comes with many parts: another 3A tub, (2)3A frames, front and rear diff’s. and all new brake parts. Tires in pic not included

“have a late 40’s Jeep Willys for sale. bought it 6 years or so ago running but burning oil. the body was rotted, holes every where. so i removed the body, removed the Engine assembly (engine, trans, T-case) to do a rebuild on the engine. and was going to restore it with a new body from Jc whitney .com but now a days i dont have any time to do anything with it. so my loss your gain.
it’s been sitting out under the tarp “car port” for the last 6 years has a light coating of rust, nothing to horrible. a few areas in the rear of the frame that need repair but nothing to out of hand. simple work.”
John from R&P 4WD forwarded pics of his customer’s nice flattie build. It has YJ SOA, R&P High Pinion Dana 44’s front and rear, Buick V6, GM SM 420, Dana Model 20, crusing around on 35″ rubber..
