About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
This looks like a parts jeep. It looks like it’s been sitting a while. Note the hubs appear to be warn hubs. Maybe there’s some other updates as well.
“This is a willys jeep 4×4 the year is between a 48-53. It has the original 4cylinder flathead motor, high/low transfer case. It would be great for restoring or using it for hunting. I am posting this for my uncle so if you have any questions email me and I will ask him and email you back. I have seen this run and drive. This does not have a title.”
This is a project that’s a bit expensive for a project.
“1949 Willys CJ3A with 327 Corvette engine – $3,000. This Flatfender will make a great project vehicle! The 1968 Corvette 327 engine (Holly 4 barrel) is not running and probably needs a rebuild. Includes Bikini Top and parts for a full roll cage. The tire sidewalls are cracked so bring your trailer.”
This is a rough, but running CJ-3A. This looks a pretty decent deal.
“Willis jeep original flat head 4 cylinder engine. Engine runs great! brakes need repair. This Jeep has oversized drum brakes (the original brakes are included) master cylinder was just rebuilt new flex lines on the front. the electrical system has been converted to 12v (except the starter) the charging system is an alternator. I have new motor mounts and a new oil filter also a carberator kit.”
This looks like an aftermarket body, so it’s probably in very good condition.
“This is a 1950 Willys CJ3A Jeep. This belonged to my father-in-law, he was a car collector and has now passed away. I am now the owner and will try my best to answer your questions. It is almost entirely original. I put a new gas tank on it also a new carburator, tail pipe, muffler and a blinker switch. It runs great, approx. 50 mph. Four wheel drive works and both high and low range work. All the gauges work (oil pressure, gas, watertemp, amps and speedometer) the odometer does not work. All the lights work(high-low beam and left-right blinkers) Has a rear hitch and a spare tire as the pictures show. The paint does not appear to be original. I would love to keep her but I don’t have the time to spend on it.”
It looks good. There’s a thorough explanation by the seller.
“You are bidding on a 1951 Willys CJ3A that has been body on frame restored by JaxJeepOnline. The body was in great shape for a jeep of this age when I got it and only had surface rust areas and 1 very small area that was rust damaged. Sheet metal was used to fill the areas. All parts that I applied are OEM or NOS parts. I replaced the front grille. The seats still have the original pans and springs in good condition. Turn signals have been added and the original 6 volt configuration has been maintained in case the buyer wishes to go further with a resto and keep it as close to original as possible….”
This doesn’t run. It apears to have some rust along the side of it.
“I have a 1951 Willys Jeep for sale. It does NOT run. It has the original flathead 4 cylinder motor. Manual transmission. 4 wheel drive. Half cab with doors are included. Would make a great project! Interesting trades considered. Asking $1750 No e-mails”
The pictures show the jeep is all together, but from the seller’s comments I think it is still apart?
“I have a 52 Willys Jeep Started restoration but never finished. It has a Ford V 6, Holly two Barrel, Hooker Headers, MSD ignition, new bucket seats, after market dash, Just to much to list. Come take a look you will be astounded on how great it looks for a 52 A light rust spot on the right rear corner panel. Had it the last 20 years never Sat out side always in my garage. Topper is in perfect condition. Please Contact me at (303)978-1083 Will not respond to E Mails so don’t try. Mark”
Needs new rear axle. Otherwise, doesnt’ sound like a bad price. I think this is a CJ-3A (NOT A CJ-1.. lol)
“it has a fully rebuilt v-6 in it with brand new cooper all-terrain tires levaling kit, good paint job,new bucket seats, roll bar,all new wireing, runs perfect, the bad is that it needs a new rear axle but othee than that it is in very good condition for it’s age, thanks danny 541-855-1473”
This appears in pretty good stock shape. There’s a few small dings, but nothing obvious appears wrong.
