This is a running WELL KEPT 1956 dj3a jeep willys, clear title, paint wiring engine transmission gauges rims everything IN GOOD CONDITION, new battery and,12 volts system which works great, upholstery in good condition. This is a time capsule, stored for more than 35+ years, expect scratches here and there, no doors.Someone just pointed out that this jeep may have been the exclusive soft top or convertible fastback, why? because the top of the windshield frame has a set of buttons or snaps suggesting that a cover top could be attached there, this jeep doesn’t have the frames or canvas”

(08/19/2019) The DJ-3A speedo, heater, ignition switch (looks original), and t-handle parking brake could be of interest to someone.

This appears to be a DJ-3A with the slanted opening. I wonder how much weight that wood adds. The rear fuel inlet is not longer in the back, so I wonder how you fill it with fuel (maybe it’s just sitting in the rear?).
“1960 Custom Willy’s JEEP. Multiple award winner and one of a kind. You will never see another like it at any car show. Body panels covered in wood and done with great care by a master wood worker. Custom interior with lots of wood trim. New lay down windshield.
Original engine (4-cylinder willy’s), column shift transmission, 2 wheel drive, new brakes including master cylinder and wheel cylinders, good tires, dolphin gauges, runs and drives. Clear TX title, antique plates can be issued from the state.”

There’s some value here (hubs, rims, p-brake and possibly others). The body is a later model DJ-3a body with the side vent.

“1957 Willys DJ3A converted to 4×4 in 1982 with GM SM420-4 Speed transmission, 153 Chevy 4 cylinder, Dana 44 rear with locker and alloy axles, Dana 18 Transfer-case, Saginaw power steering with assist cylinder, Dana 30 disc brake front with locker, no rust, swing out spare tire, Kayline soft top and doors in good condition, extra set of half doors, after market Best Top seats, rear seat, roll cage, 33-12.50R/15 BFG AT tires on 8.5″ x 15″ chrome steel wheels, runs and drives good, winch mount on front bumper but no winch, dual fuel tanks, and swing out spare tire.”
Drain holes look filled. Has some extra data plates on the dash (maybe ex gov?). Has five lug rims. Was also listed at $5900 at one point.

“1964 Willys CJ3A for sale. Kaiser Jeep Corporation This is a highly modified Jeep from CA built for serious off-road use but is still a very nice vehicle. It can crawl off-road and still cruise down the highway at 70+ mph. With short wheel base 55 seems like a better idea though. Frame and Body are rust free and in great shape. The list of modification is:
1. CJ3A Body came from a DJ3A (two wheel drive). Restored 11 years ago white exterior with Rhino Lining inside. Assembled after painting and spraying the liner so a very clean look.
2. Driveline
a. Chevrolet V8 with aluminum radiator
b. SM 420 4 speed transmission with 7.0:1 granny gear
c. Dana Spicer 20 Transfer Case Twin Stick
d. Dana 44 rear axle I am not positive on front axle model
