This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Here is a Running 1961 Willys DJ3A. This is a Numbers Matching unit which only 1542 were made. Has Firewall Tag which matches Frame Number, and the Original 134 Flathead Engine it was built with. Painted Military over very poor body work by an old soldier who wanted parade use. New tires on very scarce original wheels, It’s ready to go while you make it better.
Included is an ORIGINAL Willys Pink SURREY body, like those in the Elvis beach movies. Only about 1100 ever made. Fix the Surrey body and mount it on the ’61 DJ3A chassis and you have a very special Matching Numbers Surrey Jeep. Two DJ3A units are in this deal. I found ’em, you decide where you go from here. Health issues prevents me from doing this project. Delivery and financing are available”

This has a later model DJ-3A body and hardtop on a 4WD chassis (2A?).

This may have a DJ-3A convertible body and windshield. The windshield clamps are something I haven’t seen before.

“It is registered as a 1974 JEEP CJ model but I’m told by the Jeep experts that it is actually between a 1946-1949 Willys Jeep CJ2A. If your a Jeep lover this vehicle might be something that you are interested in. It is pre smog certificate, has a 350 Chevy Engine, an Edelbrock 4 barrel carburettor, 3 speed Toyota transmission, 4×4 and locking hubs and a Brand new high end battery. All function and work great. It’s is street legal and registered through 9/18. The Headlights and taillights need to be hooked up and the new seat belts need to be installed. Tires have plenty of miles left on them.”
Glenn spotted this DJ-3A. The paint looks nice on this (and nearly matches Patterson). Seller suggests this is a museum quality restoration, but it’s missing hubcaps, the air cleaner hose, and the horn button. It also lacks the windshield twist locks for the soft top and the soft top itself. The passenger side seat looks a little low.

UPDATE: This sold for $14,889.99 on eBay. I just discovered that this was listed on KSL for only $8000!

Nice frame off restoration of a 1964 DJ-3A. You can see it has a gov tag on the dash.

Beautiful new canvas top, doors, and side curtains as original. Seats also redone original pattern olive vinyl. Ultra rare factory special order Willys Borg Warner automatic transmission! Believed to be the only drivable survivor with a factory automatic transmission. Runs great, fun to drive.”
The body looks to be DJ, but the pics aren’t good enough to tell much more than that. It’s still 2WD, but not clear if that’s due to a lack of a front drive line or lack of a front R&P.
