Ran good the last time they drove it, but they don’t indicate when the last time they drove it was.
“Rare hard top I have never seen one like this before!
My father has owned this for many years and has driven the grand-kids around the ranch with it
We are still looking for the title.
This has not been driven since last year because my father ill and we are selling the ranch so I will be listing an assortment of items.
This is a rare hard top body style in overall good condition
2 wheel drive
ONLY 22,666 miles on it
Runs good last time we drove it.
I think the body is all original
Floorboards to have some serious rust”
Here’s a DJ-3A Dispatcher Ad from January 6,1956, published in the Herald Statesmen in Yonkers, NY. If you lived in Elmira, New York, you’d have seen the same ad, but with a price that was over $200 more ($1583)! Carmel, New York, had the best price at $1249.
This ad was published six years later in a 1962 issue of the Herald Statesman.
The DJ’s ‘fleetness of get-away’ was one reason Kreisher purchased these dispatchers. There had to be faster vehicles than the DJ!
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was Make Offer
(09/18/2013) Looks like a DJ body on some CJ-2A running gear/chassis.
“this is a great running machine with all new suspension, brakes, steering, Rebuilt transmission, clutch, $5,500.00 invested so far so please call with reasonable offers ”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $4000
You don’t see an original push bumper on a DJ very often.
“1958 willys 2wd. runs good. rebuilt carb with a new 6 volt battery. flathead four cylinder with a three on the tree shifter. needs electrical and brakes to be a reliable driver. was a push vehicle at a transmission shop in Monterey Park for many years. I am the third owner of this vehicle. Very clean and totally rust free. You don’t see very many 2wd willys in this condition. You will not be disappointed”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $700.
This appears to be a DJ. It’s set up for 2WD, has the short windshield, and has no gas inlet.
“tub is in great shape”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1500.
It’s only 2WD.

It’s definitely a project.
“I have a Willys Jeep DJ-3A. This is a reasonably uncommon Jeep, made from roughly 1955-1964. It was originally equipped with an L134 engine and a column shifted three speed transmission and was only 2wd. These were made for postal delivery and small business delivery vehicles.
This one had been in a pole barn for 30 years. It’s well used and missing many of it’s core components. The engine, transmission and sliding doors are gone, along with many other smaller pieces.
To put this back together would require a complete restoration and that’s why it’s so cheap. I don’t have a title for this since it’s so old.”
