About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

(12/01/2012) “This is a 1962 Willy’s Jeep Surrey Gala with 26,127 miles. It has been in our family for 30 years. We used the Jeep in parades only to advertise our business. Price $9,500.00. Only 1100 ever made. They came in Blue, Pink and Green. This jeep was refurbished from pink to red prior to us aquiring it. Serious collectors only please! I also am willing to sell the trailer that it sits on for an additional $1,000. It is a full size car hauler. Please call Jim Cira at 419-722-8801.”
Hard to see the condition from just his one pic. The seller lists it as a 1951 in the title, but also notes that it only had 2WD.
“We’ve owned this Willys since 1989, and it has been part of our family for a very long time. It has never been a 4×4, and is powered by a low mileage 85 mustang 4 cylinder engine, automatic transmission, and rear end. The computer, electric fan, and electric fuel pump are installed and working properly. The Willys is fun to drive around town, especially with its train horn and siren, animal, mic horn we have installed in it. The body of the Jeep is nicely painted red in color with custom pinstriping. The interior is just as nice and is gray cloth including the custom rear seat. The doors have been fabricated and are removable. We have a custom bikini top to fit the Willys, but no official top. We have used it in parades or driven it around just for fun. At this time we are not really interested in trades. Please call or text for more pictures or further inquiries @ (812) five 2 five – 9369.”
(03/26/2010) “As mentioned above this DJ3A comes in very rare automatic transmission variation, 4×2 WD, with right hand drive which was a special order of Public Works Departments through out the country, this vehicles were also used by delivery agencies and post offices. When I got this Willys I was skeptical about if auto tranny is original or not but later in my research I came across official Willys document called Consolidated Specifications for Commercial Vehicles and it clearly stated that in fact auto transmission was an option for DJ3A line of vehicles (I can email this document to any interested party). Also I found pictures of very same Jeeps with canvas half tops, right hand drive and auto tranny at the Los Angeles Department of Public Works web sight on the page related to the history of the department (it’s a low resolution pictures but I attached them to this listing) . . . Much more history on eBay”
