“Rust free1952 M38A1 in very good condition. Period correct paint color with correct military vehicle markings. Older restoration with like-new canvas with a working military radio. Too much to list so please check out all the pictures. I Will upload pictures shortly. Please email if you have any questions or desire specific pictures. Runs great looks outstanding. Won’t find a better-priced M38A1. New steering worm shaft, ball joints, U-joints, and shackles. Period correct locking hubs and so much more using original NOS parts. Also has the original engine with matching MD data plate numbers. Battery tender wired into the 24-volt system”
UP”DATE: **SOLD** Was $5500.
I don’t see many M-38A1s with dually’s and the extra fender.
“This is a really neat 1952 Willys M38 A1 Korean War piece of History. It has the extremely rare dual rear wheel conversion, it still has the machine gun mount brackets in the rear, it has the blackout lighting, and it has a PTO mounted underneath. The Jeep starts and drives, but it needs a complete restoration before it is roadworthy. I got it from an estate, so I know no history on it, I was planning on redoing it, but it is more of a project than I can handle. For someone that has the knowledge, tools, and resources to redo this, it would be an amazing addition to any collection. The price is as low as it is going to go. So many people have said they’re coming to get it, or have tried to lowball me, that this is at. The price is $5,500 firm.”
The odd addition of the external radiator is due to the installation of a V-8. It includes a trailer. This also has the early Husky hubs.

“One the straightest Willys M38A1’s I’ve come across. Runs good all the gears work high and low 283 engine. 12volt. If someone was going to do a restore this would be a good one to do it with. Comes with trailer. $7500 cash”

There might be some value in parts here, but what caught my eye was the unusual approach to installed a saginaw box. It looks like the frame was sliced and a new piece added on that has a hub to it.

This M-38A1 looks well maintained. If you are in Europe, this might be worth considering.
“Willys Jeep, part of the equipment of the American army during the detachments in South Korea, 1956”
This person is hoping to locate an M-38A1 his grandparents owned in the Gold Country area of California. It had black plates # MBG-426. No pics provided.

“My grandparents had an M38A1 Jeep on their land on Bald Mountain Road outside West Point and Bummerville. When they passed away, the Jeep was sold off at some point by a relative before the estate could be settled or the vehicle title found.
It’s a 1956 model (rounded front fenders), completely brown and white rusted paint, with an expired CA plate MBG-426.
The last I saw of this Jeep, it was on a neighbor’s tract of land also on Bald Mountain Road (east of where the road loses the centerline and fog stripes, but before Hunter Creek and where the asphalt ends).
While the Jeep was in rough, barely driveable shape at the time it was disposed of, I’ve been interested in finding it for a restoration project. It was the 4×4 my grandparents used to teach me how to drive, and has some sentimental value.
What I’d like is for anyone who knows about this Jeep, and can open a dialogue with the current possessor, to get in touch with me by email. If it makes financial sense to purchase the vehicle back given it’s condition and missing title, I’d be willing to offer a small finder’s fee.
If it’s not worth the trouble to buy back, I’d at least like to know it’s found a good home.”
The M-38A1 and CJ-7 run and drive. The 2 CJ-5s are parts jeeps. A CJ-7 parts body is also included.
