What’s not to love about this crazy contraption.  It even comes with a safely rope on the passenger side and a 2×4 that stabilizes the radiator.

“1949 willys 4×4 chassis, 235 chevy 6 cylinder, new battery, runs and yard drives, no brakes would be good for a rat rod or mud bogger project call 810-210-5971 between 9am-8pm”

6×6 Jeeps in the Jolly Jeepers Jeep Club

• CATEGORIES: DJ-5 & DJ-6, Other 4x4s, Unusual • TAGS: , This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

I was looking up some PTO parts when I landed on the Jolly Jeepers website.  According to their website, the Jolly Jeepers is Oregon State’s oldest jeep club, having been founded in 1962. Two of the jeeps owned by members are custom 6x6s.  You can see more 6x6s here.

Coincidently, just before publishing this post, Blaine happened to send me pictures he took of one of these 6x6s at the Orphan Car Show hosted by the Studebaker Drivers Club in Oregon City, Oregon, this past Sunday.  I’ve seen “Gator” listed both as a DJ-6 and a CJ-6, so I’m not entirely sure what the base platform was.

Here’s an early shot of the Gator:

And here are Blaine’s photos

This one is built from a CJ-8 or Scrambler:

Full-Size Tamiya Wild Willys

Matt spotted this gem.  Not satisfied with the toy-sized, remote control version of the Tamiya Wild Willys Jeep, the people over at The Bug Box, a German company, decided to build a life size version.  They documented the process.  Very cool.

“Armored Military Jeep” Patterson, NY No Price

• CATEGORIES: CJ-2A, CJ-3A, Features, Unusual • TAGS: This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

This one is priceless.  Based on the back, I’d say this was a CJ of some vintage and not a M-38.

“5/16″ armored jeep. Complete. Body is not rotted. Needs new undercarriage. M38? Awesome piece of history. 845-204-1475”
