“1945 Willy’s overland Jeep. Delivered to the Army Feb 6 1945. Spent the war in the Philippines and was brought back to the U. S. Late 90’s and restored. I have owned it 10 plus years and have restored it once on my own in 2014. Jeep located in oxford md. For storage but can be transported on its own trailer. Many parts include. To much to list. Price negotiable but don’t low ball. This Jeep will do nothing but appreciate in value over time.”

“This is a 230 taken from a 1964 Wagon to swap in a Chevy. it is clean and complete. Been stored inside since,I was told that it did smoke if let to idle for a period. (Valve seals?)
Has starter,generator and oil bath air cleaner.”

“1946 Willys Jeep CJ-2A Military replica, 4WD, “Go-Devil” L134 4-Cylinder, Original 1-Barrel Carburetor, 60hp. Not registered but drive-able in parades, have entered car shows with it,etc. New water pump, rebuilt radiator and shroud, starter, and generator,new 6-Volt battery, new tires. “I have what is titled as a 1947 Ford GPW. This Jeep has sat for the last 10 years. It was reported as having the transmission quit, the motor turns but the carb needs rebuilt/ replaced. This is a Las Vegas Jeep and has only minor rust. I started to tear down this project but life has gotten in the way. I was going to restore this back to it’s former glory! I have many of the needed parts to get this back on the road.”
Regarding the back page article, it’s a bit hard for me to believe that the motorhome the Murray’s built on a truck chassis (with an inline 6?) was capable of sustained cruising of 70 MPH, especially given that modern interstates had yet to be built (the Federal Aid Highway Act of 1956––aka Interstate Highway construction bill––hadn’t yet been passed when this issue of Willys News was published).
This ad was featured in the Dillon Daily Tribune on May 06,1947.
