Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This 4 Wheel Drive Booklet was likely produced between 1955-1957. An accompanying order form (seen at the bottom) suggests it was likely a 1957. The booklet was assigned form W-640. It’s not in the best of shape, but it also wasn’t very expensive.
The is a much better version of this booklet as compared to the earlier version from 1952.

Maury spotted these. The Warn “Summer” Waffle-style hubs were the first type produced by Warn. Warn followed that up with the dimpled version. Learn more about these and other “summer” hubs here.

“AZ and CA owned, Can sit for 6 months and starts in seconds. Drives great, 4 wheel drive works, sounds good with no smoke or leaks.
Early 1953 Willy’s had 3 features that later months and years did not have. Hinged Grill Welded Fender seem 4 Straps on Battery cover
Has back seat not shown in pictures 44,392 miles Comes with an after market steel Roof, Doors and Windows that bolts on.
Someone that knows M38a1’s will enjoy seeing this one. Had the 12 volt conversion, but the rest is very original.
Gauges for gas and voltage are not working well Seats are old Suspension looks original (meaning rubber is failing) I had fun, now someone else will. Clean Title Licensed in CA No Smog needed”

1947 Jeep Willys CJ-2A
Clear NM Title
Original “Go Devil” L-134 engine
Original T-90 transmission
Original Dana 18 transfer case
Body has some rust that will need to be repaired or used as a parts vehicle for another project. Engine ran when previous owner had it but parked it about 10 years ago after water pump started to leak. I have not tried to run it since getting it but engine does rotate and has non-contaminated oil.
The Bad: The passenger side storage is rusted (very common) and the original owner welded on a spare tire mount that has cracked the body right next to it. No seats, the previous owner welded in some seats that were complete junk so I started removing them.
