This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1942 Ford Gpw Jeep willys MB. Date of delivery april 16 1942. Serial number matches on body glove box and frame. Was reconditioned by moore equipment co modesto division on 3-1945. Its supposed to be script ford body but when reconditioned they used willys mb body. Engine transmission transfercase axles are script gpw. Clean california title and registered. Great restorable condition. $8,000 obo.”

Good price. It would make a great “Allstate” Jeep project.
“Pulled this Allstate L161 out of a CJ2A Willy’s Jeep. Definitely not original to the CJ2A. My best guess is this from a Willy’s Jeep Station Wagon or Henry J from the early 1950s.
The casting on the top: ALLSTATE, 6L161
Block Casting: 741878-2
It has run in the past; just been a project car for years and decided to go with a newer engine.”

“Jeep Red Cross Wooden Tole Toy Western Front 1945 Jeep “Red Cross” in wood and tole made by US Army for the french kids to the Libération of France. 2 wheels are missing included spare wheel, the front axle was replaced. 8 5/8″ length, 4″ width, 4 3/8″ height.”
