About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
Have read those top has never been off before stories, then the photos show the top off. That happened to that one Jeep they used in a Movie the one time. It happens.
Classic and very well-preserved 1970 Jeep CJ5, maintained with care and respect. If you’re shopping for a classic Ford Bronco, early Toyota Land Cruiser, or vintage 4×4 SUV, this CJ5 offers the same iconic styling, off-road heritage, and collectible appeal at a more accessible price point.
Powered by a rebuilt Hurricane 4-cylinder engine paired with a 3-speed manual transmission, this Jeep runs strong and smooth. It drives exactly how a classic CJ should. Unmodified, clean examples like this are getting harder and harder to find.
Clean, well-kept condition with no signs of abuse or hard off-roading
This CJ5 presents extremely well and would make an excellent collector vehicle, a weekend cruiser, or a vintage off-road Jeep you can enjoy immediately.

1947 Willys Jeep CJ2A (Civilian Jeep). Original factory color of Mediator Blue. Purchased from a farm in Connecticut 14 years ago. Mostly stored indoors but driven regularly.
Original L4-134 “Go-Devil” engine making 60 BHP .4 speed manual gearbox. Runs and drives well.
This is an original 1949 Willys Jeep. It has original body and drivetrain. Engine runs nice. Has been converted to 12v system with alternator and newer battery. The distributor has also been upgraded to a Petronix electronic ignition.Fuel system has newer fuel tank and I put on a new fuel pump last year. This will need a complete exhaust system as the engine is currently running just a short pipe coming out of the exhaust manifold.
The transfer case was completely overhauled by the previous owner before I bought the Jeep. There was also a full disc brake conversation done by the previous owner with Geo Metro disc brakes on the front and rear axle. This is an upgrade that is very popular with older Jeeps.
There is also a rear passenger seat which is not usually found on these older Jeeps. A nice front tow bar is also attached to the front bumper. The tires are decent and all match on original 16in rims.
The Jeep has a good clear title.
I have owned the Jeep for almost two years. I have only driven it in the field to test all the drivetrain and brakes. I am battling health issues and it is now very difficult for me to get in and out of the Jeep. This would make someone a really good, original off road vehicle to enjoy Willys Jeep events.
