About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“Testing the water here, this jeep had a fresh motor, new Firestone military tires, many new parts during semi resto. Driver this Jeep anywhere. Fires right up, delivery if needed.”
I am listing this for a neighbor who has owned it the past 5 years. The Jeep was repainted in 1997 and it appears that there were panels cut out and replaced back then. It was obviously professionally done and the paint still shines nice today. It is starting to show its age. There is minor rust starting to show on the insides of doors.
It has had a lot of new parts put on it over the last 5 years he has had it. Recently, a new clutch, carb rebuild, and new exhaust from the manifold back. The 6 volt system is still intact.
The Jeep comes with the original owner’s manual, spare tire and jack.
It starts right up and runs like it should. It does have an oil leak or two but the engine is completely as it was in 1960. All the glass is excellent. The original radio even worked until last year. The Jeep was originally purchased new in Missouri and this makes him the 3rd owner of it. The rig is very roadworthy (he takes it to car shows 50 miles away), however he recommends trailering it long distances.
I will handle all offers, emails, phone calls, etc. and will do my best to answer any questions. He works away from home and I can be around anytime to show the Willy’s. ”
“1958 Willy’s Jeep with only 46,000 thousand org. miles. It has been in the same family for 50 years and has been well taking care of. It has been in dry storage for eight years.
The engine was completely over hauled in 1994 and runs just like it did when she was new. ”
This has an unusual top. It has the suicide door style.
” Picked this up off a ranch in Montana. hadnt run in years, replaced the gas tank, fuel line, changed the oil, rebuilt the generator, and carb, bled the brakes It started {smokes a little} runs, drives, and stops. 4 wheel drive works, all gear oils were up but could be changed. The cloth covered wiring isnt so good any more but things like lights and gauges seem to work.but it should be rewired.
There is some rust in the body support brackets and cabin floor but its not extensive. The tub is in good shape over all, the drivers seat is not original. It has the 16 inch tires.
It came with the Aluminum “Arctic” brand top you see on it. The doors all open, and the top itself is pretty solid if you wanted to keep it.”
(08/14/2014) The jeep looks good, but better photos would help.
“1948 willys cj2a new 32inch mid terrain tires. Built 327 Chevy new interior radio iPod hookup flat black paint power steering new aluminum radiator 10,000 cash or trade for newer pickup plus cash no tattoos no low balling”
“I have a couple Jeeps I need to see gone,,, Due to health problems I have to sell 1 of my Jeeps… 1964 CJ5 $2000, 30K on odometer ,, Would be great for restore,,,, Have like new Black low back seats front & back,,,, 4” fairly new soft ride lift,,, Back panel that eliminates the tail gate,,, Needs Master cylinder installed & There is something wrong with the clutch linkage & the front differential & I have a replacement to go with it ,,, brakes have been gone over ,, Good sound body & frame did run real good ,,, Do have the windshield with good glass,,,”
It has a rear PTO, but I don’t think it is hooded to anything.
“Selling this Willys CJ2A Jeep for parts or restoration. It is missing parts but may be a good start on a WWll Jeep project. Look at the photos and ask any questions. There is no title and rarely is on old jeeps. It will come as is just like in the photos. There is a vintage winch on the back of it that is worth quite a bit by itself. I just don’t have time for it. It’s not running but rolls freely. I know very little else about it. ”
“Jeep is complete minus a windshield frame. Engine is froze up from from spark plugs being out, rest of drivetrain seems solid and it was parked working. Has pto and drive shaft running to rear mounted pto winch. Winch and cable seem to be in good shape for age. Has two flat tires but if you bring two 16″ tires and tubes I can put them on. Tub is ruff but hood is great and passenger fender appears good. Lots of good parts or put a engine in it. Don’t want to sell but have to.
Winch and pto set up can be bought separate for $500 or
Asking $825 for everything as is, and I can help load.”
“reposted other deal fell through, major project all parts are there except seats and battery. new brake system–wheel cyl. master cyl. drums turned new brakes and some lines, last ran about a year ago- has a 4 cyl. chev engine everything else is stock. have Arizona title no vin plates. need to sell best offer email for pictures no text pictures thanks for looking.”
(08/14/2014) I’m not entirely sure what body this is. It’s got a CJ interior, but doesn’t have a rear filler nor the right dashboard for a DJ. Maybe a replacement body?
“Another rare barn find. 1946 Willys Jeep, could be a military jeep because no tailgate. Has frame for top. Yes, it needs a lot of work. No, it doesn’t have an engine. Tires will hold air long enough to get on a trailer. Vehicle has been sitting many years. No title with purchase, just Bill of Sale. Not in DMV records any longer. Are you looking for something to do with your kids or by yourself? Thanks for reading.”
