About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
(03/11/2013) The semi-automatic gun mounted on this M-38 works and includes 800 rounds of ammo.
“THIS IS A TRUE 1952 ARMY M-38 WILLYS JEEP TOTALLY RESTORED 4CYL FLAT HEAD MOTOR 3 SPEED MANUAL TRANS. 4WHEEL DRIVE HIGH-LOW TRANSFER CASE 24VOLT ELECTRICAL SYSTEM NEW PAINT SEAT COVERS BRAND NEW TIRES WITH TUBES NEW CANVAS TOP RUNS AND DRIVES PERFECT EVERYTHING WORKS AND THAT MEANS THE MOUNTED BROWNING 1919 A-4 308CAL.”
“Tuff old jeep with snowplow, tire chains, towbar, michelin tires, 12 volt system, recently replaced locking hubs and brake master cylinder. Starts and runs well. I have plowed snow with this workhorse for the last 15 years that I have owned it. Just got a tractor and need to sell. Has old postal topper, with slide out drop down rear hatch.”
“Up for sale is my 1981 cj3b Diesel J54 from Mitsubishi Heavy industries. Willys sold the license to Mitsubishi in 1953 for them to make a version of their much beloved Cj3b. Mitsubishi in turn, made the Jeeps from 1954 up until August of 1998. Willys on the other hand, stopped making the cj3b in 1965 for the American market. This jeep is in really good shape and it has only 36,000 original miles. The engine is the 2.8l 4dr5 inline 4 cylinder diesel and gets extremely good gas mileage…ive gotten a little over 30mpg since i bought it in 2010. It is the right hand drive like postal jeeps but it is really easy to get used to and kinda fun once you get used to it. The diesel engine is very heavy duty and was used all over the world in these jeeps and in Mitsubishi heavy forklifts. Here are some specs….full time hubs, 24 volt waterproof electrical system, D44 for rear diff and d30 for front diff, good approach and departure angles, gear to gear transfer case with a 2.3 low range and 4.77 differential gearing, no computer, no epa smog devices at all, no catalytic converter, no egr valve, no pcv valve, and no carburetor to adjust. The jeep cranks better than anything that i own and i attribute that to the 24 volt system and the power it throws to spin the starter. I really dont want to sale the jeep but other things are pressing and it is time for someone else to enjoy it.. . more info on craigslist.
Check out the paint job on this jeep. Also, the windshield glas is extra tall. I think this might have been a very nice jeep at some point.
“Runs and drives, 4wheel drive woks fine, Hurricane 4cyl engine. Hood and passenger seat not pictured but I do have them. Passenger seat needs to be redone. Its a great starting point for a great rig. I thought I’d have time for it but I don’t”
I just thought parking this on a shipping container was odd.
“1959 jeep willy runs perfect no title but i have bill of sale is a colectable. cosmeticly fear condition need paint job but drives good nice for a project car”
“Great restoration project. Very original Willys (Built by Ford) M38 (Similar to CJ-3A). Virtually no rust. Top has been removed, but available. Winch has been removed since photo. All military lights and original rims/tires included. Too many projects in front of it. Stored inside in hangar and garage.”
Note the original looking details on the underside of the hood. Seller says they will take it to the scrapyard soon.
“This old military jeep needs a new home. It ran good when I parked it a few years ago. I’m tired of looking at it and if it doesn’t sell it’ll go to the scarp yard. Asking $1000.00 obo.”
HOG spotted this CJ-3B out of Canada. Check out the gas inlet. It doesn’t look stock to me. I suspect this is an aftermarket body given the tool indents.
“Must sell my 1961 Jeep willys, runs very well, all original, Engine, transmission, gauges, interior, etc.
