Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1947 cj2a has a 4.3 chevy with husky overdrive, 538 years with a D 18 transfer case and a sm420 transmission. I have a ton of new parts that need to be installed. Due to my health I cannot finish it, a new small cap electronic distributor new wiring harness, new wipers and motors, has 33 inch tires with 90% tread. Have brand new black bucket seats. Has a new tub un setup. Have original tub as well but fair amount of rust in it.

“1942 Ford GPW Jeep.
If you are look for a run around Jeep, OK. If you are looking for a quality restoration project, this Jeep is a disaster. It is sad the abuse inflicted on this early script Ford. Roll bar runs through the floor and is welded to the frame. The body was re-skinned. I cannot determine how much of the body is original or its condition. Drivers seat was extended two inches. Look over the pictures carefully. More pictures at:

On the good side: The engine spins freely be hand. It has the early scalloped axles. Early windshield hold down, Ford Script, and other F marks.
In addition, included will be the two windshield frames, hood and one combat wheel.”
This has no title. Given the radiator and the transmission crossmember mount (just visible in one pic), this is likely a DJ-3A convertible body on a CJ-2A chassis.
