Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. The grille suggests an earlier vintage jeep, but maybe the grilles were switched. Looks good though.

It needs a rear drive shaft at the very least.
“Good: Chevy 350 with new cam and vaulve job, SM 465 trans with NP 205 transfer case, cd player with aux input/water 4 water proof speakers, new wireing, tow bar and haul lights ready, new gauges, electric fan, and 33 coppers with less than 300 miles on them.
Bad: Leaks oil and needs body work/paint
Broken: rear drive shaft( priced new custom drive shaft and it cost 300 plus install)
I still have alot of the origonal parts – flathead if you want to restore. I will miss my jeep but with 2 kids and another on the way I need at toy with a roof and seat belts. Its alot of fun to take out in the desert and for light rock crawling. She will power over anything in granny low and if that don’t do it the 4×4 works great, you will roll over backwards before you find something you can’t climb. 5000 dollars o.b.o or 1973 or lower running muscle/sports car. I enjoy working on cars and need a new project after parting with this one. I can tow it to the location of your choice after cash our trade is in hand. Call me at five20 nine91 eight nine13.”

The body needs some work.
“Good frame and running gear.
Chevy small block (engine block bad).
Fenders/ grill/ windshield frame – OK.
Tub has typical floor rust – repanable.
Clear title.
Wife says “No more projects!””
This price looks good. This runs and drives and has a PTO, but the 4wd doesn’t work. Also, this seems a bit late for a split windshield.
“1961 Willys Overland Jeep CJ5- 2.2L F Head 4 Cyl, T90 three speed transmission, Dana 25/27 differentials, 4×4 with high and low gears (4 wheel drive is not operable at the moment but drives in low or high gear). Also, has a built in PTO. Bolt on towing hitch for hauling places with tow lights. This Jeep is a classic piece of Jeep History. Vehicle can be restored or driven as is. Runs and drives good. New Battery and just recieved the new brake master cylinder.”

“This is a 55 to 56 not really sure. Bought it to plow my driveway and while doing some repairs on it found the frame to be perfect do not want to ruin it plowing should go to a good home. 6 cylinder 3 speed 2 stick transfer case.”
