Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1947 Willys Jeep (eats early broncos on any 4×4 course LOL). Powerful cammed 305 SBC with dual exhaust (30,000 on engine). Original Warn overdrive with existing drivetrain. Front lock-outs with big 11×2 inch brake upgrade. Runs excellent. Jeep was from California so the body is very good. Entire jeep needs some tlc in all areas to be extra nice. New master cylinder included, but not installed. Also included in sale is 2 brand new front buckets.”

This is unusual.
“A unique hydraulic dump body jeep conversion, also comes equipped with a 6′ plow blade. New shocks and master cylinder. Has NYS registration. Please email with a phone number I can contact you with. Thanks for looking.”
This looks like a parts jeep. It looks like it’s been sitting a while. Note the hubs appear to be warn hubs. Maybe there’s some other updates as well.
“This is a willys jeep 4×4 the year is between a 48-53. It has the original 4cylinder flathead motor, high/low transfer case. It would be great for restoring or using it for hunting. I am posting this for my uncle so if you have any questions email me and I will ask him and email you back. I have seen this run and drive. This does not have a title.”

This is a project that’s a bit expensive for a project.
“1949 Willys CJ3A with 327 Corvette engine – $3,000. This Flatfender will make a great project vehicle! The 1968 Corvette 327 engine (Holly 4 barrel) is not running and probably needs a rebuild. Includes Bikini Top and parts for a full roll cage. The tire sidewalls are cracked so bring your trailer.”
I’ve not heard of an MVD? It does appear to be an MB body. The story behind the purchase is a bit odd. He tried to convince his parents he didn’t want it, and just wanted to sell it, but has done a bunch of work on it? hmmmm…..
“… Well, after weeks of trying to convince my parents that I do not want this thing, here it is up for sale to you. I will tell you what I know about the vehicle. Having personally worked on it, the Jeep runs very well, solid engine and drive train, four wheel drive works, all electrical items, except the fuel gauge. The fuel gauge needs the sensor in the tank, the actual gauge is fine. The outside paint actually looks good, orange in color. The soft top is showing some significant age, windows are whiting….”

I’m thinking this is a very rare opportunity. I’ve never seen this complement of snow devices on an FC-150.
“1959 Jeep FC-150 Engine Runs Great. New Tires. New Hydrolics to raise Blower. BLOWER is powered by 440Ci. RB with only 70000 miles. This engine replaced a 361 Ci. commercial High Torque engine that developed a rod knock, Totally REPAIRABLE. Also goes with DEAL !! Replace ment is partially complete. Varrious additional parts to both engines also included. LOTS OF FUN !! CASH ONLy !! NO reasonable offer refused”
This is a rough, but running CJ-3A. This looks a pretty decent deal.
“Willis jeep original flat head 4 cylinder engine. Engine runs great! brakes need repair. This Jeep has oversized drum brakes (the original brakes are included) master cylinder was just rebuilt new flex lines on the front. the electrical system has been converted to 12v (except the starter) the charging system is an alternator. I have new motor mounts and a new oil filter also a carberator kit.”
The year and model are wrong on the Ad. This might be a pretty decent deal if the rust description is accurate.
“i have for sale a 1951 jeep willys cj2a. it has the factory 4 cylinder motor that has been rebuilt about 2 years ago. it is a 3 speed transmission with a twin stick transfercase. runs and drives great. needs a clutch rod in it now, but thats it ! everything else is in great shape. very little rust. i have a set of 15×10 bullet hole wheels to go with it but they are not pictured. asking 2200.00 obo call (706)-676-4620 if no answer leave a message.”

This has a large number of good looking mods. The body is a bit beat up as if it’s seen a few trails (and there’s nothing wrong with that).

The Willys sits on American 15×10 wheels, 33×14 Super Swamper TSL bogger tires and is powered by a Heeney Racing built 230ci odd fire V6 engine. The Dauntless V6 is equipped with a mild performance cam, headers, Stinger Magna-Pulse electronic ignition, a Kenney Bell intake manifold & Holley 390cfm 4bbl carburetor.”
