About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“Two items for sale, different prices. Sorry, no part outs. I do not reply to texts or email. Phone calls only, leave a voice message and I’ll call you back. Thanks.
1. 1948 CJ2A rolling chassis: this is the “late” ’48 frame, thicker steel, same frame used for CJ3A and CJ3B. Steers, brakes work, trans and transfer work, radiator, this would make a great chassis to build your old Jeep project on. Front crossmember has been modified, new repro front crossmember included. $950
2. CJ3B: this sale includes the 3B body tub, windshield frame, hood, fenders and grill. Tub is rough with rust, dents bondo, other sheet metal in pretty good shape overall. $750″
“Nice little cj2a. Have been working on it but now priorities have changed. New water pump, break reservoir, points, plugs, rotor and cap and spark plug wires. Needs to hook a new fuel line from tank to fuel pump ( which also need replaced. the pump.). motor starts right up when you pour some gas into the carburetor. Great project if you want to restore or clean up and use as is. Mostly just surface rust. Only thru rust I’ve seen is in floorboard on passenger side, which has been plated under. If ad is up it’s available. CASH only and don’t need help selling and I’ve heard all the scams so don’t bother me with them.”
“1946 Ford GPW. This flat fender is a World War 2 production jeep that was license in 1946, it was produced during the war
Comes with original L-134 block engine, a new T-84 transmission, original D-18 transfer case, and original axles. All fluids have been change and wiring has been upgraded to 12-volt to include a new Fuse box.
New carburetor, new distributor and much more.
Jeep runs good and drives good for something made to storm the beaches of Normandy. New clutch and linkage, brake master cylinder, wheel cylinders, lines and brake shoes.
Jeep has a newer Best top cover with doors. Seats are new and canvas is era specific.”
This race jeep was modified with one-ton axles. Note the wider rear axle with an added fender well. The racers note the Jeep has 24-forward speeds. Maybe that means a six speed with an overdrive and transfercase? The article appeared in Roseville’s (CA) Press Tribune on October 23, 1968.
“Willys Jeep in good condition. Motor runs great, brake work . It has been converted to 12 volt. Has aluminum top and doors. Body has a little rust but not bad for a 4”
“48 flat fender, 327 small block Chevy, Bronco running gear, 3 speed transmission, high low transfer case, warn manual locking hubs, 5000 lb warn winch. This jeep was built from the frame up. Lots of chrome and diamond plate.”
“Selling my 1946 Willys CJ2A. Runs strong and drives like a Willys Jeep.
Has a 4 cylinder engine, 3 speed manual with Warn overdrive and Warn locking hubs. Like new wheels and tires. The Jeep was purchased in 1948 and been well taken care of since then. Unfortunately no time or space for this super fun, head-turning 4×4. New tabs and clean title in hand.
Serious buyers only! You won’t find another like this one.
$8500 cash”
