Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. UPDATE: SOLD. Was $1400.
Engine spins. I can’t make out the front hubs.
“1946 willys jeep 4×4 has motor, transmission, and transfer case. Motor is free. She is rough but is all there and I don’t think it would take much to get it running again. Don’t have time to mess with it. $1400 O.B.O or trades No title but can get one.”
This March 23, 1943, article on the “Seagoing Jeep” was published in the Fort Worth Star Telegram Evening edition.

Per John, “L/S devastated German town of Hurtgen. M/S of American soldier suffering from trench foot limping past the camera. Various shots of the soldiers eating a long awaited meal. M/S American jeep racing through Linnich to escape shells, the roads are littered with dead German soldiers. L/S as tank backs into building. Troops run for cover in the streets. M/S as church steeple collapses after being hit.”

“really neat older build .42 ford looks like willies jeep has bf good wrench 275 hp add aluminum intake 4bbl electric ignition and headers i figure about 300 havent dyno ?no jerry cans has custon back seat gas tank has wipers heater tilt wheel im6ft 240 and drive it dont see much bigger than me enjoying it.has winch locking hubs all lights it has a gernorator not alternator nice blacktop roll bar the plasticwindows in top need replaced have gotten old and cracked out was quoted 825 to repair top,has locking hubs a stereo needs replaced bounced to death lol.

(02/01/2021) This has a set of leaf springs in place of the front bumper.
“Nice running jeep with the 134 4 cyl that was gone through 13 years ago but only 5000 since, just tootle around the back roads. Has been in the same family since 1954. We replaced the block, front and rear mains, carb. and newer brakes, wheel bearing, leaf springs. Good body with un-cut fenders, no patch work or repairs on the body. small spot in tub. Real nice starter or enjoy as is. $9500 clean title and know of good shipping”
