These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “This orange metal half top is perfect for a 1949 Willys Jeep. The back panel comes off and has a small plastic window in the back. The top also has a wooden bracket that goes across with a bracket for a light. Could be modified for other Jeep sizes and years. Metal does have flaking paint and needs work to restore”

Has a rear PTO.

“1953 Willy CJ3 Jeep runs good has a rebuilt radiator, good tires, has a spare engine that was given to a school by the National Guard and was used for students to tear down and put together. It was disassembled by a mechanic and found it has no problems and was put back together—it’s basically a new engine that has never been run, has a tow bar, the Jeep will need brakes and some tender loving care but would be a good project”

More evidence that suggests the rumor of a Spokane Jeep dealer extending CJ-2As into “CJ-2Ls” was true. Thanks to Jay for spotting it. The hardtop has a Cab Enclosure data plate, suggesting that this top is a modified (hacked) version of that top.

“1948 Willys CJ-2A Jeep complete. This jeep is perfect for a full restoration project. Engine turns over freely, but does not start. Needs brakes. It has a hard top taken from a 1/4 ton truck welded to the body. Surface rust and some sheet metal rust out (see photos).
Started restoration, but stopped due to injury and now moving. Have all the parts removed plus new 50 Amp 12 volt alternator.”
UPDATE: Status Unknown. Was $3000.
Has a Meyer half top, along with some modifications.
