This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Mostly original Jeep Cj5 Jeep-a-trench. Body is pretty solid, some rust mainly around hat channels. Half cab w/ pass door only. F-head with governer. (could use carb kit – floods out occasionally) breaks could use some work. Trencher seems to work as it should. Hydraulic creeper drive works great. Open to offers, would rather not put it on ebay. This sale includes a repro body. In the first pic is a nice shot of the heater.
“1951 M-38 Jeep serial No. 21347. The vehicle has a title in the State of South Dakota. Jeep was used for many years by Honeywell Corp. at its munitions testing site north of Minneapolis. Body is badly rusted. Frame is OK. Engine is original 24 volt military. Selling as a package deal w BEMAK (phillipine repro) body, front fenders, hood, windshield frame and tailgate. The jeep has not run for 10+ years. The engine, however, is NOT stuck. Also, all the original military data tags are on the dashboard.”

It’s a bit pricey for a project, but it does have one of those rare back extenders on it.

“1957 Willy Jeep CJ5, F Head Engine, With working Snow plow and Frame, Add-On Custom Cab model number 535 made by Koenig Iron Works, Houston Texas, Runs and drives. New parts included for brakes for all four wheels including master cylinder. Need to be installed. Tons of spare parts, and available parts vehicle not included but open for negotiation. 1500.00 or Best Offer

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1500.
“Have a solid little 49 CJ 2-A. Brand new rebuilt tranny and case. T-90 with D-18 case. Welded rear with new 9:50 x 16 trail digger tires. Rebuilt lever lock hubs. Springs reworked, body patched but extremely solid tub and floors. New inset taillights. Rewired but turn signals need done. Switch is there. This 2-A has a 3-B 1/2 cab and windshield that has been extended 4-1/2 inches. Can see out of this 2-A when driving. Pretty neat. Runs good. 12 volt system with alternator. Have truck heater mounted between the seats. Not much to get this on the road.”
Brian found this unique ’46 on eBay. No doubt there’s a certain personal touch to this CJ-2A.
“For sale I have a 1946 Willys CJ2A Jeep. It runs good, all 4 WD works properly. It needs rear brake drum installed, I have the drum. It has all new brake shoes and wheel cylinders, duel rear wheels needs wiring work for lights to all work. The jeep was my dads he had it since 1962 it was always kept in the garage. The body is in pretty good shape for a 46. It was painted in 1995 and it had floor patches welded in 5 years ago. The snow plow, hydrolic up and down manual left and right. I just put in a new interstate battery. It was converted to a 12v system. Thanks for looking, ask any and all questions. The jeep is for sale locally, I can stop the auction at any time!!!!!”
This is one of the most rusted flat fenders I think I've ever seen. Next, I noticed the rear PTO water pump, which was cool. Then I noticed the solid back — no tailgate, yet the body doesn't look like a MB/GPW. It's hard for me to believe that this jeep rusted so much while in storage.
