About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
It runs. Looks like the front bow holder has been trimmed. Appears to have a Koenig hardtop.
“1947 Willys CJ2A Jeep. Runs, has hardtop (from CJ3A) minimal rust. Has warn locking hubs, 5 matching 16″ wheels. Don’t know much about it, bought with other jeep parts. Great project or parts NO TITLE.”

The seller believes this photo is from the ALCAN, but the photo is blank on the back, so I’m not sure why the seller thinks this. Squamish is just north of Vancouver and closer to San Francisco than Dawson Creek. Still, it’s a neat old photo. (Squamish has been used as a film location substitute for Seattle-area-based movies like the Walking Tall remake).
“PLEASE SUPERSIZE ALL IMAGES OF THESE WONDERFUL AND GENUINE ORIGINAL PHOTOGRAPHS OF WORLD WAR II AND THE BUILDING OF THE ALCAN HIGHWAY THROUGH BRITISH COLUMBIA, YUKON AND ALASKA. CIRCA 1940’S. THIS CLEAR AND CRISP PHOTOGRAPH SHOWS:
1) A SUPERB IMAGE OF A WILLY’S WAR TIME JEEP CONVERTED INTO A ENTREPRENEUR FROM SQUAMISH BRITISH COLUMBIA. EMPIRE MILLS LIMITED SQUAMISH B.C. IS PAINTED ON THE SIDE OF THE VINTAGE 4X4”
“Experimental? 312 engine was informed by the long retired pilot Air Force. Found locally near Hyde field near Andrews AFB .. 312 virtually identical to 292 without checking numbers on crankshaft. Complete except carb. Parts or restore – pto, Dana 44s, tow bar. One off hand built cap. Still has some military type script on inside of cap, looks like they used recycled ductwork or equiptment steel. Ford mustang type seats. .. no parts this on really needs to be researched. Haven’t been able to locate a VIN. Confusion as to all that have studied it. No parts sell as whole unit. Bill of Sale. Great conversation piece, yard art or rare historical piece. Pretty solid except for some floor pan and rocker repair.“
“This is a 1969 Jeep CJ5. It was used as a snow plow and comes with all the hydraulics and parts except for the plow it self, also comes with an extra set of 5 original tires and rims. It has a new windshield frame, no windshield and THE original steel hard top AND matching doors. The motor runs and the transmission shifts very well. The rear breaks are out but the fronts are new. Has working transfer case and both axles are good. I recently drove it around the block and it had no problems but it is not road worthy. This Jeep is great for an offroad project or a donor for your own project. I want to sell and i’m ready to negotiate too.’
(02/06/2018) Seller is feeling out the market, so not sure how serious.
“Just putting this out there. I don’t want to sell it for sure. 1953 Willys CJ-3B. The “ugly duckling” of CJ jeeps. Engine, transmission, frame, etc. all original. Original body minus the areas I patched for rust. Patches came from another 3B loaner body. Body and paint in good shape for saying I’m not a professional car guy. Engine has been rebuilt and bored .030 to fix a cracked block. One piston was sleeved. Too much to say about this rig. It’ll take you anywhere you want to go, as long as you’re not in a hurry.”
“For Sale: Real 1946 Willy’s Jeep with plow, $3000.
Runs and drives great, used to plow all winter
Has nice custom cab cover, lots of lights, everything works”
This brochure suggests that a company called Meyers Aircraft developed the hardtop that was eventually sold/taken-over by Sears. It makes sense that an aircraft company would make an aluminum hardtop. So, there may be a few Meyers’ made hardtops mistaken as Sears or Allstate tops.
