About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“1955 Willys CJ3B. Over $14,000 in receipts for new parts, list available on request. New body and new paint. Zero rust. Original motor and drive train. Most everything new. Not sure how much was eventually invested, but it was way up there, ha. Clear Texas title. Asking $11,000”
“eep runs and drives and is great for running to the store or driving in a parade. It has new brakes and starts every time. The jeep has working blinkers, seat belts, brake lights, headlights, and a horn. It is street legal and has a clean Kansas title.
Solid body without any active rust areas to speak off. 4×4 works. Gauges work. Tires hold air. Black vinyl seats are very comfortable with springs.
The transmission DOES grind when shifting from third to second about half the time. Sometimes it doesn’t and others times it does. The jeep still drives fine. Forums say the synchronizers need replaced, but not sure.
It does have oil leaks that I heard are normal on these jeeps.
Fun jeep at a reasonable price to still do repairs if you choose, or just drive it as is. Get ready for Spring parades!”
This was the seller’s father’s jeep and he admits he doesn’t know a lot about it. Seller seems convinced it’s a WWII jeep. It is a nice example of an early 2A jeep, though strangely it doesn’t have tool indents (#24566)
“Now is your chance to finally own a World War 2 Army Jeep! A great addition to any collection, this one was used by a VIP at the Estrella Warbird Museum in Paso Robles, CA until my Dad bought it 6 years ago. What makes this Jeep different is that it has a working siren and flashing amber light in the rear – great for parades and car shows. It also has a column shifter which is rare on these models.
Here is what else it has:
• Period correct WWII patinaed paint, canvas top and upholstery.
• Period correct tires.
• Appears to be original body, hood, floors – oh, the stories they could tell.
• Oil pan with skid plate.
• Authentic M-1 rifle holder with reproduction rifle.
• Shovel, axe, jerry can, portable water canteen and a mortar canister (just in case).
• Hand grenade shift knob.
• New brakes, drums and brake lines.
• New carburetor, battery and shocks.
• Lockable storage compartment under passenger seat.
• CA registered 1946 license plate.
• Runs and drives great. Gauges work, lights works, hubs lock.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or would like to see the car. The car is located in Whittier, CA and is listed for sale locally so we reserve the right to sell it prior to the auction ending. This is a used car sold as is and where is and as such there are no warranties expressed or implied. You are encouraged to inspect the car in person or hire a service prior to buying it. This was my Dad’s car and he passed away so I am only telling you the information to the best of my knowledge.”
For the quality of the rebuild, I don’t understand why this was militarized??

Craig shared this ad. Needs a gas tank, but would make for an affordable parade/around-town jeep.
