Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. 1948 cj2a Willys that was garage kept. I am the third owener, the man I got it from bought it in the early 60s. In the mid 60s he installed a 283 Chevy v8 in the Willys and it was repainted as he had to do some work to the fire wall to fit the engine. He changed the ignition from points sometime later. The body and frame is in great shape (no rust at all) with only a few minor dents here and there. The only thing I have done to her is rebuild the breaks. This Willys is ready to drive and needs nothing other than the soft top and doors need to be adjusted and a few brackets put in place for the doors (there new). This is one of the cleanest cj2a that I have seen that’s not a frame off restoration. Just found out I’m having my 4th kid so I need to let it go.”

(09/04/2016) Looks like a clean build of a militarized CJ.
“This is a rebuilt 1946 CJ2a that is finished to look like a military MB. It is VERY clean with rebuilt transmission and transfer case, Many new items, which are listed below. This Jeep is ready for your parade today! It is an excellent running and driving jeep with all the safety features you are looking for such as front seat belts, horn, brake light, rear view mirror, and front and rear turn signals.
Headlights work, windshield folds out as it should, rear seat included. You will not have to do anything to this jeep except for drive it and have Fun!
All the accessories that are shown come with the jeep, such as helmet, three packs, canteen and belt, rope, grenade box.
