This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “I have owned this car since 1993 , has always been under cover and rarely driven. The paint is 6 years old and still shines. There is no rust on this car. The custom cloth upholstery is like new . The chassis is original and has been rebuilt. The V-8 Oldsmobile engine is a mid 50’s 324 cu in 340 lb torque and runs very strong. The automatic transmission is the 4 speed hydromatic of that area and shifts clean and hard. This is a fun car to drive. There are still a few odds and ends to contend with but it is road worth and starts easily. You are invited to view the car before making offers. If this add is still here it is still for sale. The top is new as well as the side curtains(window).”

Franziska Gygax shared pics of this jeep on Facebook. He wrote, “Was made by Kaspar Gut a swiss carosserie maker. In the back is place for 4 swiss milk cans. And on the weekend you rebuilt the back to 1 seat for 2 people“

Would make a fine re-enactment jeep.
“1946 CJ-2A with 90% resto to 1944 MB. Body is in good condition, no rust. Used in WWII reenactments and parades, always kept garaged. Runs fantastic- New electric, rebuilt engine, rebuilt transmission, rebuilt starter, installed new fuel line, muffler, clutch, given her a fresh paint job, canvas. Has pioneer tools, “jerry” can, but tow rope not available.”

“1944 Willy’s Military MB2A. Rebuilt in the late 90’s. Ford 302 engine, 2 bbl carb. full exhaust, T90 tranny (less than 500 mi. on overhaul), w/overdrive (for street use). Stock differentials (approx. 5:56 gears) 10 inch brakes, power steering, 6 point roll cage, full canvas top, 8G warn winch. Street tires in ex. shape. These pics are a few years old. The truck runs fine, but needs paint and some TLC. Price is firm.”
