UPDATE: Still Available

(10/15/2014) This looks good.

“Fantastic 1955 Jeep – Runs Smooth and Drives.
This is a fantastic Jeep. Engine is the original and preferred 226-L6 Super Hurricane flat 6 and was just gone through by an experienced classic car guy. Partial restoration is done. Body is fantastic and rust free. Starts easy, runs great and fun to drive. This is a vintage 1955 Jeep Wagon, America’s first 4×4 SUV. It will climb 57 degree grades (although I have not tried) and brings smiles everywhere it goes. Ready for the new owner to recover the seats and side panels in desired color. This is a GOOD ONE – Body not rusted. Work done in 2013/2014 includes: New fuel pump and lines, New fuel tank, Professionally overhauled Carb, New water pump and hoses, conversion from 6v to 12v with new Willys alternator and battery, and much more. Fun to tinker and will be an easy restoration finish as show car or daily driver. This vehicle is complete; original seats (front and rear) acquired and ready for cover. All parts ever needed in future are easily available from Willys – easy to work on. If you are interested is a unique, fun vintage Jeep, please email.”

1949 CJ-3A Colorado Springs, CO **Status Unknown**

UPDATE: **Status Unknown** Was $7500.

(11/08/2014) Looks like a fun rig.

“The previous owner told me this rig was custom built in the late 1960’s as a no-kidding Sand Dune racer.

It’s incredibly fast! It will hold 65 MPH up Vail Pass on I-70 while barely touching the gas. The v8 motor is very strong, but when you combine it with such a small / light vehicle, it’s just crazy. The motor fires right up and is very strong, doesn’t burn any oil.

I believe it is a reproduction CJ3A steel body and not original Willys. I do have a clear Colorado title in my name. The bottom of the “tophat” channels underneath the tub are rusted, but the actual tub pan itself is very clean, and the frame is clean and solid.

The paint job is probably 20 years old, so is faded but still looks okay. I can’t stop for gas or pull up to a stoplight without someone drooling over it or asking questions.

1960 Wagon Puyallup, WA **Status Unknown**

UPDATE: **Status Unknown** Was $6500.

(09/20/2014) Looks like a nice wagon. Seller is having an ignition problem, but it does run. It may only be for sale through the weekend.

ok so here’s the deal. I posting my wagon for sale through the weekend because quite frankly I’m frustrated. It has a 1970 ford 250 L6 with clifford headers and T90 3 speed with overdrive and twin stick transfer case that where both recently (less then a year ago) rebuilt. Just had all new leaf springs, shackels and shocks put on. I started having ignition problems a couple weeks ago and, not being terribly mechanically inclined, especially with electronics, I don’t want to deal with it right now. I just put in a new pertrnix electric points and flame thrower coil, all new plug wires and distributor cap. Until this it was my daily driver and is a blast to drive. It IS running right now but I don’t know that I would trust it to drive very far. it has some other non mechanical issues that are fairly simple, needs the speedometer/gauge cluster repaired or replaced, about a hundred bucks for a new replacement, the drivers door handles needs to be replaced, all the parts for which are easily available on E bay. It has some rust as would be expected on a car this old and it needs a U joint to put the front drive line back in. I was planning on replacing the pulley system windshield wipers(which has been converted to electric) to individual motors. I also have a bunch of random extra parts. Really, for someone with some mechanical skills this could be a damn nice rig fairly easily. get it before I change my mind…”

1945? CJ-2A Wasilla, AK **SOLD**

• CATEGORIES: CJ-2A • TAGS: , This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE: Was $21,500.  **SOLD**

(09/05/2014) Listed as a ’45, this is really a ’46 based on the year. I wonder if seller has any actual pics of this while owned by the Air Corps. That would help verify the seller’s restoration is correct.

1945 Willys CJ2A (serial #73581). Full frame off, ground up restoration to military condition and specs. Original owner US Army Air Corps Alaska Command at Mile 26 airfield (Eielson) in Fairbanks. Surplused in late 1950’s. Had several owners around the state and came to rest in Wasilla in a state of decay. I acquired it in 2010 and performed the restoration over a 2 yr. period.
I was able to save and restore the rims, tires, axles, transmission, transfer case, drive shafts, frame, engine, carburetor, air cleaner, steering shaft and gear box, bumper, trailer hitch, generator, starter and jerry can.
Frame was sand blasted, repaired, aligned and powder coated. Cases for transmission and transfer case also blasted and powder coated. Drive shafts blasted and powder coated as was bumper and trailer hitch. Engine (Go-devil flat head 4), transmission (T90), transfer case, axles, carburetor, drive shafts, starter and generator professionally rebuilt. Everything else is new and correct for 1945/46 cj2a, including exhaust, radiator, fuel, brakes, springs and shocks, electrical, gauges, clutch and brake pedals and horn. Body and fenders are powder coated in army green with invasion stenciling. Seats are army green canvas. Jerry can and spare are correctly mounted on reinforced tailgate per mil-spec. 6 volt system has been retained. I have added one tail light and brake lights to make it street legal. Not stock in 1945 was an oil filter which I added and 6V halogen headlights. There are no turn signals or windshield wipers. There is no heater. I have a canvas top and frame, but it is in poor shape and I have not installed it. I have a black-out light, axe and shovel but have not installed them. Manila tow rope included. Air filter has been modified from oil bath to paper cartridge without changing the outside look. There is no back seat, which was sold as an option from 1945 on. I also have the Bantam trailer (correct pintel hitch) that works fine but needs a full restoration to match the jeep. Jeep has 360 miles since restoration. Registered and licensed. $23,500.”

1951 CJ-3A Kingman, AZ **SOLD**

• CATEGORIES: CJ-3A • TAGS: This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $5800

“Oldie but goodie. This old willys has been worked on and alot replaced or rebuilt. Two years ago the transmission, transfer case and rearend rebuilt. The wiring was shot so I put in complete new harness. The steering box was rebuilt along with all new brakes, wheel cyclinders and new master cyclinder. The 5 tires are new with low mileage. The top was new two years ago. The doors come off and the sides roll up. The suspension, leafs and shocks are new. Starts every time and has a tow bar on front for towing long distance. If you want a dependable and go anywhere Willys, this is the one you would want. Will consider all reasonable offers or would trade for Manx, VW, in good running condition.”

1951 M-38 Boise, ID **SOLD**

• CATEGORIES: M-38 • TAGS: , This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE:  **SOLD** Was $10,000

(09/10/2014) The front end has been updated with a hitch.

I’m helping my grandpa sell his Vintage Army Jeep. It’s in superb condition for its age, still runs like a champ, and 4×4 works great! 1951 M38 Willys US Army Jeep. It has low miles on the original engine, because it was used by a Commanding General, HQ1. It has a 2.2L four cylinder engine, manual locking hubs, 3 speed manual transmission, and a 2 speed transfer case. The vehicle only has 59,xxx original miles on it! 45,473 M38’s were built from 1950-1952, who knows how many are still drivable. Serious inquires only. This hasn’t been a beater hunting rig. It has been well taken care of. It’s a Classic! If you want to own and drive away with a piece of American History give me a call.”
