Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “I have Owned this willys for 22 years. it had been barn kept. Body is in excellent cond no rust. Engine is a 4 cylinder 134 cu in go devil in excellent running cond same for the trans, transfer case,differential, brakes, clutch, I restored it back in 2002 I went with the john deere Look. And has only been driven approximately 300 miles. And has been barn kept. It has a few small blemishes like the kc lights have some surface rust and a few minor things like that. Tires are 100%. Overall this is one fun way to ride dirt roads hunting or just riding around. It’s way better than any side by side atv out there. It has never been abused .There’s no top for it but u get get a aftermarket one there are several places selling everything for this jeep. I will answer any ? Or need any more pics. No prob. Serious inquirer only!”

(08/22/2014) Brian forwarded this ad for a running and driving FC that needs some finish work.
“1957 jeep fc 150. Pretty good condition I think for its age and very hard to find. Whole jeep is painted with spray paint for quick and easy touch ups if needed.New tires less than 500 miles on them. Runs good and and drives nice. Has 4 cyl hurricane motor with a 3 speed manual tranny. Missing the windshield as u can see in pics.Needs a little more work to be finished but is drivable the way it is.”

(08/30/2014) Brakes have been updated to 11″.
“1951 m38 military jeep Willys. Have all receipts since 1970’s. Have over 225 hours of documented work and repairs in the last 2 years at $30 an hour that’s $7500 in labor alone, have original oiled canvas top and doors. No oil leaks, runs like new, upgraded 11 inch drum brakes, tow bar, goes up almost any hill in 2 wheel drive and 4 wheel drive it will go up a vertical wall. Everything has been rebuilt and new gaskets over the years.”

“Restored 1962 .Willys Jeep Truck. 4 wheel drive with lockout hubs. Hurricane 6 engine 3 speed hi lo range. Refurbished gas tank and transfer case. Repainted original color. Original seats and interior. Beautiful shape. also included Western hydro turn plow.”

The Hudson Steering upgrade sure was popular in Colorado. Great looking 3B.
“I am selling my 1960 CJ3B jeep which I bought from the original owner about 20 years ago. Jeep is all original except it has hudson steering added which makes the jeep steer like power steering. Original F-head engine and running gear with 5:38 gear ratio. It has a aftermarket carburetor but I do have the original. It also has a koenig PTO winch and Hella driving lights. Jeep was painted about 15 years ago to its original red color and still looks great as I store it inside. Wheels,windshield frame,gear shift covers, etc. have been powder coated. Also included are 4 studded tire chains and a bikini top. I hate to sell my jeep but just do not use it anymore. These CJ3B’s are highly sought after and getting hard to find. No low ballers or dealers. Thank You”

“Hood numbers match frame serial. (I have another hood who’s number match the engine’s serial(I’m keeping that one.))
New Tub in 2008.
New wiring loom in 2008.
Gets new paint every few years.
Engine rebuilt in 2010 (hardened exhaust valves installed)
Canvas seats ~2005, still in very good condition.
Transmission rebuilt in 2004, (still pops out of 2nd if it feels crabby).
I never had the original bows and have not purchased a top or new bows.
Engine runs strong, needs a new radiator core.
Running with a solex carb but I have the original carter.
Electric fan installed on radiator to make parades while pulling a trailer a little less exciting (switch is hidden in glove box.)
Extra Paint/Parts go with the vehicle (except some original parts I have hanging on the wall in my shop.
It’s been an on and off project for long number of years, I just need the space for other projects. Anymore it comes out for parades and the odd trip to get ice cream.
I’d rather not ship.
Prefer to sell “locally” so I can meet the new family.”
