This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Motor and running gear
-2003 Chevrolet vortec V6 4.3l , a/c removed w/16,000 miles
-Entire wire harness was custom made by howell engineering along with a custom computer to make everything run right. This was very expensive and is the only way to do it to make things right and clean.
-Ford granny 4sp T-18 tranny
-Rear axle 1972 jeep dana 44 w/spool 4.56 gears
-front axle 1972 jeep dana 30 w/Detroit true locker 4.56 gears
UPDATE: Was in Chester, ID, for $4000. Now on eBay for much more.**No longer on eBay … Status Unknown**
This has a government plate of some type. I’m guessing forest service, but maybe USCG? The seller provides so description.

“Selling my Postal Jeep. Still has the original stickers United States Post Office as well. It is a right hand drive 2 wheel drive automatic transmission. The interior is in excellent condition, has original mail pans to. New tires and rims, I have original tires and rims to sell with it also if wanted. Looks solid, but there appears to be some wear on the body edges.
“1947 blue willys jeep. runs great fun toy, I just have too many toys. new rims and tires are on it but also have original rims with tires. bought it from a guy who restores older vehicles…. also have a international scout for sale that is rhino lined from the same guy. the jeep has newly redone seats. mainly driven around the farm for dove hunting and rides nice. might be willing to trade for reduced price and guns”

Ford v8, freshly rebuilt c4 auto transmission, Warn transfercase overdrive unit from Herm the Overdrive Guy, 8k Winch, brand new Winters Sidewinder shifter, Saginaw crossover steering conversion, tilt column, Mallory gauges, new springs/shakles, tires are 90%, brand new spare, new rust free body tub from Willys-Overland, paint is not perfect but looks very good, white Kayline soft top in good shape (no rips/tears/cracks), swing out spare tire/jerry can rack, Tuffy back seat/storage lock box, and much more. This Willys runs and drives excellent. I will remove this ad once the jeep has been sold, so if this is still up, I still have it. $8,500 obo no trades.
