About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
I don’t see any of the APU equipment left, so while it’s a rare jeep, it’s also no longer an APU jeep. I don’t see anyone paying the asking price for it. That said, it’s got some interesting mods, including a custom lengthened rear cargo area, a custom spare tire well and holder, what appears to be the Hudson steering mod, and a custom modified top (shortened CJ-6 top perhaps). This also utilizes doors from a late model CJ-5 hardtop by Kelly. The rear portion may even be a modified Kelly CJ-6 top.
“Up for sale is a CJ3A Willys APU Jeep .
This APU Jeep was built for the military Navy and Air Force to start jets by the Valentine Welding Co. they made a total of 75, this is one of two know to still exist, and the only one with a windshield and top .
The newer F head engines were placed in and a custom hood made by the manufacturer
Asking 25k”
(01/04/2020) This modified CJ-2A with the truck-like addition is road ready. The body appears to have some kind of body liner on it.
“Great condition no rust
Vehicle came from las Vegas
Has about 50 miles on the rebuilt 2.2 engine. 3 speed transmission and 2 speed transfer case. Original 2a frame professionally stretched. Only reason I’m selling is I’m ready for a new project. I have owned it for over 5 years. I have over 12k invested just in parts.
Cash price 11k or trade of equal value. Let me know what you have and let’s make a deal. Main interest would be skid steer or wrecked jk”

“This is a 1956 willys Jeep. Civilian variant of the M38A1 military Jeep. It’s a southern Jeep with a TN title. No mileage on the title because it’s exempt. The cluster has 8k on it. Car starts up runs and drives. Just tuned up with a new carburetor. Tub is steel and is mint with no rust. Frame is also immaculate and had been completely under coated. We have been using it as a beach cruiser. Car has a little Bimini top for the summer. Powered by the original 4cyl. 134cid/70hp 1bbl. Front axle is a Dana 25 and the rear axle is a Dana 44. Tranny is a T90 3 speed. Not trying to field a million questions come look at it. Cash in hand for a ride.”

“Looking to sell my Willy’s jeep Original Flathead 4 cylinder / 3 speed trans with PTO I bought this jeep out of a barn where it sat for many years. I do not have a title for it. I put brand new correct style tires and a brand new carb on it. Several other odds and ends to get it running. It runs and drives as good as a Willys ever did.”
“Selling my Jeep Willys that was mounted on an International Scout frame. Comes with an International Scout title. Fenders, hood, and grill on the Jeep are in good shape. The bucket has been lengthened a few inches to help it fit on the frame. Jeep does not run, I was told that it ran when it was parked.”
UPDATE II: **Status Unknown. Was listed at $29,500 in Feb of 2020.
UPDATE: This was for sale in June of 2019 for $10k. Now it’s on sale for $29,500. This is a replica that reportedly was built for the museum. It wasn’t used on the actual show, based on the ads for this jeep that we’ve previously seen. The original Nelly Belle sold for $116,500 in 2010 and, subsequently, for $38,400 in 2018.
(from the 2019 ad) “This 1946 CJ-2A is an exact replica of the Jeep Nellybelle used in the Roy Rogers’ TV Show of the 1950’s. It was commissioned by Roy Jr., aka Dusty Rogers. It was used at the Roy Rogers Museum for the children to climb into so that the original Nellybelle would not get all that “abuse”. We have the Certificate of Authenticity as well as pictures we took with Dusty and his son, Dustin. We are also friends with the fine gentleman who built this jeep for Dusty.
It runs well, smokes a little (it’s old enough and Dusty said it always smoked).”
“Solid 1946 Jeep Willy. Runs great for a 74 year old vehicle. Great Willy for a farm, ranch or camp. A true workhorse. Came from rancher in Texas and was used on a cattle farm. Was purchased from the previous owner in Virginia where it was used as a recreation vehicle. Currently used at a kids camp in the Shenandoah Mountains. Runs strong and will turn a lot of heads.. One of the stronger old jeeps that I have seen … a true original with a powerful working winch as a bonus.”
