Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Here’s a John Deere themed FC. Seller included a video.
Here is your chance to own a truly unique, rare, and beautifully restored 4-wheel drive pickup, of which only 1600 were built. This ‘John Deere’ colored Willy’s Jeep was totally restored starting with media blasting the body and frame, cutting out the rust and replacing it with new metal, period correct engine, interior, and wiring in the early 2000’s by an individual in York, PA. There is no rust or rot coming through anywhere. The approximate mileage since completion is about 1200. Current owner purchased the pickup in 2004 and has only driven it to local shows and parades.
Mechanically the Willy’s Jeep runs great; all the lights (headlights, turn signals, brake lights, etc) work like new. Speedometer and odometer function normally, but the horn, new fuel gauge, new temp gauge, and new heater motor were never wired. Owner indicates that they will work without an issue.
